John F. Stack

Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Service in the Chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery, Broadway, Malden, on Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., for John F. Stack, who died on Tuesday, September 24th at Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Boston, following a long illness, at 71 years.  Born & raised in Boston’s Mission Hill section, he lived for a time in Jamaica Plain before coming to Revere over 41 years ago.  For all of his working career, he was a cook for the New England Baptist Hospital of Boston, retiring after 40 years of service in 2004.  He was the husband of the late, Theresa Lou (Skelton) Stack, who died in August of 2012.  He is the beloved father of: Bryan E. Stack of Birmingham, Alabama, & Kimberly Beaupre & her husband Bryan of Derry, New Hampshire.  He is the cherished grandfather of: Sarah E. & Victoria G. Stack both of Birmingham, AL, Brennah, Kyle & Brayden Beaupre all of Derry, NH.  He is also the dear brother to: Catherine Tobin of Arlington, Gerald Stack & his wife Roseanne of Orlando, Florida, Margaret Stack of Tacoma, Washington, & the late Joseph Stack, Jr.  He is lovingly survived by several nieces & nephews.  John was also the son of the late Joseph & Marie (Sullivan) Stack of Boston.  Entombment will follow the services at Holy Cross Community Mausoleum, Malden.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to your favorite charity.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
