Robert R. Stanchi, Jr.

Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Wednesday, September 11th at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere for Robert R. Stanchi, Jr. , who died on Friday, September 6th at the Chelsea Soldiers’ Home Chelsea, following a long illness.  Born & raised in Boston’s North End, he attended Boston Schools & lived with his family in Boston’s North End, until moving to Revere in 1955.  He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict for about 4 years.  He was a machine operator & fence installer for several area construction companies.  He was a long time member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish & also was a long time member of the Joseph Mottollo Post #4524 of Revere.  He was the beloved son of the late, Robert R. , Sr. & Mary (Sicurello) Stanchi.  He is the dear brother of the late Richard R. & Carmen A. Stanchi.  He is the loving brother-in-law of Rachel E. Stanchi of Wilmington & the late Erna M. Stanchi.  He is the cherished uncle to Michelle M. Stanchi of Wilmington, Michael R. Stanchi & his wife Kathryn “Kate” of Winthrop & Conrad Dampolo & his wife Elizabeth of Saugus.  He is also lovingly survived by several cousins.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  Interment is Private.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the “Patients Recreation Fund” at Chelsea Soldiers’ Home  91 Crest Ave., Chelsea, MA 02150.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
