Phyllis A. (Siciliano) Tata
Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, October 6th, 2013 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Phyllis A. (Siciliano) Tata, who died at her Revere residence following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 87 years. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, October 7th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere at 10 a.m. Mrs. Tata was born & raised in Revere, attended Revere schools & was a 1944 alumna of Revere High School. All of her life was spent here in Revere as an outstanding homemaker & care-giver to many members of her extended family. Phyllis was most active in the Revere Public School PTA & the PTA at the Immaculate Conception School of Revere. She is the beloved & faithful wife of 65 years to former Revere City Councillor & former retired Revere firefighter Pat W. Tata, Sr. She is the adored mother to: John R. Tata of Chelsea, Debra J. Tata, Pat W. Tata, Jr., Mark A. Tata & his wife Kelley, Lisa M. Amato, Gina M. Viarella & her husband Christopher, Maria V. Stuart & her husband Michael, all of Revere, & the late Peter W. Tata. She was the dear sister of Louis J. “Gino” Siciliano & Ella Marino. She is the loving sister-in-law to: John Marino of Revere, Malvina Cafarelli, recently of Georgia & formerly of Revere, Josephine Nicholas of Texas, & the late Louise J. Siciliano. Also lovingly survived by 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, & many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Phyllis was a “woman of Confidence” in God’s will & trusted cheerfully & joyfully in the love of God.
