Angelo Pellegrino
Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, Oct. 19, from 5-8pm in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte107) REVERE, for ANGELO PELLEGRINO, who died unexpectedly on Wednesday Oct. 14th. His funeral will be conducted on Tuesday, Oct.20th at 10AM, from the funeral home, followed by the FUNERAL SERVICE in the funeral home at 11 :15am, followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Born in Marsala, Sicily, Italy, the family arrived in the U.S. in 1958, settling in East Boston. He was an alumnus of East Boston High School, Class of 1967. He served with the US ARMY NATIONAL GUARD. He worked for over 20 years at General Electric Corp of Lynn until 1993. He then joined his brother, in B.P. Construction Co., as a bricklayer, where he worked until retirement. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union-Local #3 & a member of the Revere Loyal Order of the Moose–#1272. He came to live in Revere, in 1970, where he remained until his death.
He is the beloved father of Frank J. & Tanya C. Pellegrino both of Revere, Angelo is lovingly survived by his former wife & the mother of his children, Rose L.(Speranza) Pellegrino of Revere. He is the cherished grandfather of Sean T. Gillespie of Saugus. He is the devoted brother of Ben F. Pellegrino & his wife, Diana of E. Boston, Rose Marie Rams & her husband, Alan of Pembroke & the late, Ralph A. Pellegrino & Rosa Pellegrino. Angelo is also lovingly survived by his fiancée, Donna M. Kostka of Revere & many nieces & nephews. He was the son of the late Francesco & Caterina (DiGirolamo) Pellegrino.
