Howie was my first cousin. His mother and mine were sisters. Although Howie was my junior by ten years, we “grew up” together. I lost track of him about the time his mother died. He was a good friend, who paid a good many visits to us here in Florida and to the rest of my family in New Orleans.
May God rest Howie’s soul. He will continue to have a remembrance in my Masses. Best wishes to his family members.
