Donald P. Smith
Private funeral services and interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, were held for Donald P. Smith, a lifelong Revere Resident, who died following a lengthy illness at Kaplan Family Hospice House of Danvers on Easter Sunday, April 1st.
Donnie, as he was affectionately known, most of life was a retiree of American Airlines; his last position, as supervisor of “Lost & Found”. He was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1953, and subsequently, went to work for the airlines. He was a three-year (1957-1960) Army National Guard Veteran, serving during peace time.
He was the beloved son of the late Frank H. Smith & Emma (Mirto) Smith. He is the devoted brother of Edward Smith & his wife, Edna of Florida, Janet Parker & her husband John of Chelsea, & the late, Dorothy M. Jannino, Former Revere City Councilor Richard A. “Dick” Smith, Frank “Sonny” Smith & William “Billy” Smith. He is also lovingly survived by many caring & cherished nephews, nieces, grandnieces & grandnephews. Please remember “Donnie” as the fun-loving character he always was with a prayer & a smile.
