Josephine S. LeBlanc

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, December 4th, 2012 beginning at 10 a.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Josephine S. (Fazio) LeBlanc, who died on Thursday evening, November 29th at Lighthouse Nursing & Care Center, following a long illness, at 90 years.  A funeral mass will follow in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere at 12 Noon, followed by interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Cemetery, West Peabody.  Mrs. LeBlanc was born & raised in East Boston & was a 1940 alumna of East Boston High School.  After marrying Thomas L. LeBlanc in September of 1942, they moved to Revere in 1952, where they remained.  For over thirty years, Mrs. LeBlanc worked as a secretary for the former “Wigglesworth Co.” in East Boston.  Besides her husband of seventy years, she is survived by her devoted son, Thomas W. LeBlanc of Revere.  She was also the Mother of the late, Ronald E. LeBlanc & Deborah LeBlanc.  She is the cherished grandmother of Heather LeBlanc of Missouri, Danielle Morello & her husband Michael of Lynnfield, & Christopher LeBlanc of Peabody.  She is also lovingly survived by her great-granddaughter, Madison Morello, & several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  She was also the Dear Sister of the late, Rose Consolo & Petrina Zazzaretti, & the daughter of the late Aurelio & Josephine (Gangi) Fazio.

Wallace M. Milligan

A funeral mass was celebrated at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Wakefield, followed by interment at Massachusetts National VA Cemetery, Bourne, MA, for Wallace M. Milligan, who died following a long illness on Saturday, November 24th, 2012 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, at 69 years.  Born & raised in Somerville, he attended school there & was a 1961 alumnus of Somerville High School.  In August of 1961, he entered the United States Army & served until August of 1964.  He is a Veteran of the Vietnam Era.  For over 20 years, he worked for Eastern Airlines at Logan Airport on ramp service.  He lived in Melrose for about 15 years, then moving to Winthrop & in 1995, moving to Revere.  A former member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks, he was also an avid simmer at Revere Beach.  He is the beloved father of Wallace J. Milligan & his wife Darleen of Horsham, PA, Tracey M. Milligan of Wakefield, & Scott F. Milligan & his wife Nancy of Methuen.  He is the dear grandfather of Shanna M., Sierra J., & Wallace S. Milligan, & Samantha M. Marshall.  He is also lovingly survived by 3 sisters, Margaret “Betty” Abreu of Billerica, Joan Johnson & her husband Charles of Royal Palm Beach, FL, & Mary Kantorski & her husband Edward of Revere, & his former wife, Janet M. (Rogers) Milligan of Abington, MA, & several nieces & nephews.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108.

Una C. (Marsilia) Horton

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, November 25th, 2012 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Una C. (Marsilia) Horton, who died on Wednesday, November 21st at her Revere residence, at 89 years.  Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, November 26th at 10 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service in the Funeral Home at 11 a.m., followed by interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Cemetery, West Peabody.  Mrs. Horton was born & raised in East Boston, & came to live in Revere 65 years ago.  She was a 1941 alumna of East Boston High School.  She worked for the former “Paris Box Co.” in East Boston as a young woman.  She was a longtime member & active supporter of the Revere League for Special Needs.  She is the beloved wife of 65 years to Walter F. Horton, & the devoted Mother of Paul L. & Mark J. Horton, both of Revere.  She is the dear sister of Claude Marsilia & his wife Carol of Virginia, & the late, Arthur & Louis Marsilia.  Several nieces & nephews also survive her.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston, 70 Walnut St., Wellesley, MA 02481.

Edward F. Henneberry

Edward F. Henneberry

Family & friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday, November 23rd, 2012 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals,773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Edward F. Henneberry, a 60-year Revere resident who died following a brief illness at Abbott House of Lynn on Monday, November 19th, at 93 years.  His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, November 24th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) Revere at 10:30 a.m.  Born, raised & schooled in East Boston, Mr. Henneberry came from an old Boston family, entrenched in Boston politics, & the Massachusetts court system.  His late uncle, Edward F. Henneberry was Middlesex Sheriff, his Dad, John T. Henneberry was a Boston Police Officer, & several other relatives held positions within Boston’s political world.  He moved to Revere over 60 years ago with his family.  He entered the United States navy in January of 1942 & served until November 12th, 1946.  He is a Navy Veteran of World War II.  He served on the USS Jeffers, a noted vessel, that served in both the European & Pacific Theatres.  Mr. Henneberry is believed to be the last of the “Jeffers Association,” an organization of those survivors of the crew that staffed the vessel during WW II.  He is noted as a “Plank Owner of the USS Jeffers.”  He spent the majority of his civilian career with “Exxon Mobil,” in various Managerial & Supervisory positions, for over 37 years.  He is the husband of the late Eleanor V. (Harney) Henneberry, who passed in January of 1987.  He leaves his beloved daughter, Maureen E. Barry (a retired Revere & Saugus school teacher) & her husband, Retired Revere Police Officer, Robert F. Barry, of Swampscott.  He is the cherished Grandfather of, John E. Barry of Wakefield.  He is also lovingly survived by several nieces & nephews, who regard him as their surrogate Father & Grandfather.  He was the Brother of the late, Florence Harney & Madeline Stanton.  Mr. Henneberry was also a member of the “Exxon-Mobil Annu-Itants.”  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to: The Dr. Bob Harney Sports Foundation, P.O. Box 520324, Winthrop, MA 02152.  (Dr. Robert A. Harney was a nephew to Mr. Henneberry, who died on June 13th, 2012).

Robert L. Cook

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, November 20th, 2012 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Robert L. Cook, who died on Friday, November 16th at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Brighton, following a brief illness, at 82 years.  His funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 21st at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere at 10:30 a.m.  Born & raised in Chicago, Illinois on November 7th, 1930, he came to live in Revere 60 years ago.  Bob is a Veteran of World War II, Korea, & Vietnam.  He entered the Coast Guard in 1948 & served for over twenty years, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer.  Bob also worked for ten years as Senior Sexton at the Immaculate Conception Church & School.  He then was appointed to the Revere Fire Department & served ten years as a Firefighter.  He is a long-time member of the American Legion Post #61 of Revere & served as their commander some twenty years ago.  He is the beloved wife of 60 years to Rosemarie (Coviello) Cook.  He is the devoted father of: Robert L. Cook, Jr. & retired Revere Firefighter Ronald S. Cook, both of Revere, & Lynda Cook-Clark of Lynnfield.  He is the Cherished Grandfather of: Jill M. Vieira of Saugus, Thomas R. Ward & his wife Jennifer & her son, Owen all of Tewksbury, Ronald & Robert L. Cook, III both of Falls Church, VA.  He is the Brother of William & Donald Cook, both of Florida.  He is also lovingly survived by his daughters-in-law, Marie Cook of Saugus & Judith Cook of Lynn, & his 2 Great-Grandchildren, Madisyn R. Vieira of Saugus & Mason Cook of Falls Church, VA.  Several nieces & nephews also survive him.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688.

Gail A. (Bellino) Gentile

A funeral mass was celebrated in November at St. Clement of Rome Church in Sun City, Arizona, for Gail A. (Bellino) Gentile, a former Revere resident, who died at the Banner Boswell Medical Center of Sun City, AZ, unexpectedly on November 13th, 2012 at 63 years.  Mrs. Gentile moved there over 14 years ago with her husband, Joseph, who died in 2006.  Born & raised in Revere, she was a 1967 alumna of Revere High School.  For several years, Gail worked as a receptionist for a group of Everett doctors.  Gail had an innate sense of style & design, especially for floral design & home decorating.  When her sister, Carole A. Alexander opened Alexander’s Floral Lane on Broadway in 1973, & then reopened the shop under “Carole’s Floral Boutique” on Park Ave., Revere, Gail assumed the role of designer & manager for the shoppe for over ten years.  She was a victim of the 1954 “Polio Epidemic” & subsequently, after many years of enjoying good health, became a statistic in the numbers of those who developed “post-polio syndrome.”  This necessitated the move to Surprise, AZ, where the climate was dry.  She leaves her devoted son, Damon Gentile of Bangor, Maine.  She is the dear Sister of, Carole A. Alexander & her husband Alfred “Fred” Alexander of Point of Pines, Revere, & James R. Bellino of Sun City, AZ.  She is the Cherished aunt of Dr. Scott C. Alexander, PhD., Ed. & his wife Karen L. Alexander of Chicago, Illinois, & their son, Myles S. Alexander of Chicago, IL.  She was the Daughter of the late, James G. & Marie A. (Carco) Bellino.  She is also lovingly survived by several cousins in Revere, Malden, East Boston & surrounding communities.  Interment was in Arizona.  Remembrances may be made to: The Jimmy Fund at Dana Farber, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.

Duca of Fuquay Varina, NC, & the late Mark C. Duca.  Beloved sister of Frances R. Borick of Saugus & the late Marie E. Molinari & Cosmo J. Fedele.  Also lovingly survived by her niece, Susan M. Molinari of Revere, & several other caring nieces, nephews & cousins.  She is the daughter of the late Joseph & Theresa J. Nicholas J. Carrozza

Nicholas J. Carrozza

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, November 15th, 2012 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, for Nicholas J. “Nicky” Carrozza, who died on Sunday, November 11th at Winchester Hospital, Winchester, following a lengthy illness, at 85 years.  His funeral will be conducted from the Nichols Funeral Home on Friday, November 16th at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, Wilmington at 11 a.m., followed by interment in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.  Born & raised in East Boston, he was an alumnus of East Boston High School, Class of 1945.  Nicky began a career in dress designing at a very young age.  Never having any formal training in this field, he began working for a local designer, Olga of East Boston, & quickly blossomed to a respected fabric master, landing one of his first jobs at Boston’s prestigious Bonwitt-Teller of Boston.  His fame & recognition soon spread across the area, & he established his first salon, Nickki’s Bridal Salon, on London St., East Boston.  Later, after only five years, he moved his salon to the corner of Chelsea St. & Prescott St., East Boston, where he remained for over 40 years.  It is estimated that Nicky dressed over twenty-two hundred brides and their entire bridal party, “down the aisle” on their wedding day, with his breathtaking creations.  He was a familiar face in the “Boston’s old garment district,” selecting fabric & all the varied sundries needed for the complete execution of his designs.  After “formal retirement” at age 70, he still would accommodate special family & friends.  For over 10 years, he sewed for “Classic Upholstery” of Wilmington, where he made another new & loving extended family.  He is the beloved & adored husband of 55 years to Rose (Lanney) Carrozza.  He is the Cherished Father of: David N. Carrozza & his wife, Elizabeth “Beth” of Stoneham, & Janet F. Engram & her husband, Kevin D. of Wilmington.  He is the Devoted Grandfather to: Stephen W. Carrozza & his fiance, Amanda C. Parry of Plaistow, NH, Lauren E. Carrozza of Stoneham, Nicole R. & Janelle T. Engram both of Wilmington.  He is the dear brother of, Mildred E. Rodriguez & her husband, Diego of Revere, Frances DiPlacidio & her husband, John of West Palm Beach, FL, & the late, Meco, John “Panco,” Enrico “Eastago,” Elio “Leo,” Ralph, & David Carrozza, & the late, Lesandrina “Sandra” Russo, Lena Incerto & Bridget Pisano.  He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  He is the faithful brother-in-law of, Jerry Lanney of East Boston, Alfred Lanney & his wife, Phyllis of Saugus, Mary Folsom & her husband, Leroy of East Boston & Josephine Miano & her husband, Richard of Wilmington.  He was the son of the late, David & Frances (Vertuccio) Carrozza.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Building Fund at Winchester Hospital, 41 Highland Ave., Winchester, MA 01890.  The family is overwhelmingly grateful for the extraordinary care & professional devotion given not only to Mr. Carrozza, but to their entire family over the past two years.

Annette M. (Russo) Ferragamo

(Russo) Ferragamo, who passed on Sunday, November 11th at Lighthouse Nursing & Care Center of Revere, following a long illness, at 89 years.  Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday,  November 15th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.  Mrs. Ferragamo was born & raised in Revere, lived here her entire life & was a 1941 alumna of Revere High School.  Always a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Parish Community, she was an active member of several committees benefiting the I.C.C. Parish.  She was a Eucharistic Minister & an Altar-server, serving until her middle 80’s.  Mrs. Ferragamo was also a member of the Revere Society for Cultural & Historic Preservation.  A woman of unparalleled faith & strength in God, she was a witness to many tragic losses over the years.  She was widow to Joseph A. Ferragamo, Sr. & the dear Mother to the late, Joseph A. Ferragamo, Jr., Suzanne M. Deslongchamps, & the late, Annette M. Donatio.  She leaves her devoted daughter, Rosanne M. Millett & her husband, Glenn of Raynham, MA.  She is the cherished Grandmother of: Kim Werra & her husband John of E. Taunton, Richard “Ricky” Deslongchamps, Jr. & his wife Beth of Easton, MA, Maria E. Ferragamo of Revere, Danielle Harrison of Wareham, Matthew V. Millett of Raynham, & Brendon Donatio & wife Jen of Westport.  She is also survived by 5 Great-Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  She was the Sister of the late, Marie G. Pazyra, Margaret DeGilorma, Samuel, Ernest W.
