Robert A. Osgood, Jr.

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, January 21st in the Vertuccio and Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Osgood, Robert A. Jr.Broadway, Revere (Rte. 107) beginning at 9:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m., for Robert A. Osgood, Jr., who passed unexpectedly, following a lengthy illness on Saturday, January 16th. His funeral will follow the visitation, at Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave., Revere at 11 :30 a.m.

 

Born & raised in Revere, he attended Revere schools and was a 1977 alumnus of Revere High School. He also attended the Regional Vocation School. Most of his life was spent in the construction field, with his expertise in carpentry. Bobby experienced early signs of Congestive Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, which rendered him disabled at an early age. Bobby had an interest in magic and performance as a child and teenager and later began a business performing at homes, parties and various venues providing magic for children’s celebrations. During his elementary school years, he was a member of the famed I.C. Reveries Drum and Bugle Corps, playing the drums.

 

He is the beloved son of Robert A. Osgood, Sr. & Anne S. (DelGrosso) Osgood of Revere & the dear father of Robert A. Osgood, III & his companion Stephanie, Brennan A. Osgood and his companion Christine, all of Boston’s North End and Brett A. Osgood of Revere. He is the cherished brother of Linda M. Mario and her husband, James Prendable of Revere & Judy A. Osgood & and her companion Samantha Newton of Dover, N.H. He is also lovingly survived by his companion, Elaine of Lynn, his aunt, Theresa L. DelGrosso of Revere, his former wife, Laura J. Fiore of Revere, & his granddaughter, Gianna Marie Osgood of Winthrop, and many caring cousins. Interment will be held privately.

Noel George Simmons

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, January 18 from 3:00 pm. to 6:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio and Smith, Simmons, NoelHome for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) Revere, for Noel G. Simmons who passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Tufts Medical Center of Boston. All are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday, January 19th at 11:00 a.m. in the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, 302 Elm St. Everett. Entombment will follow in the Versailles Mausoleum Building at Woodlawn Cemetery.

 

He was born and raised in Radstock, England on December 25th 1936. He then ventured to the USA, in 1964, settling in Massachusetts and eventually wintering in Sunrise, Florida for over 25 years. Noel spent over 20 years with the M.B.T.A. as a driver, collector and inspector before retiring in 1991. He was also a member of the Winthrop Lodge of Masons. His family was his main priority and he was theirs. He enjoyed the comfort and beauty of his homes and gardens and the joy of entertaining his family. They will long remember his tenderness, hearty laugh, great stories, gusto for life and ability to light up any room he walked into. He also loved traveling the world and meeting and socializing with anyone he met. Everyone he met liked him for his ability to make them laugh and smile.

 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Evelyn (Falcucci) Simmons, three cherished children, Jayne C. Simmons of Stow, VT, John Simmons and his wife Cliona of Millis, MA and Rosa Simmons-Gaffny and her husband Kevin of Danvers. He is the devoted grandfather of Christopher O., Neil P. and Evan B. Simmons, all of Millis, MA. He is the dear brother to Ann Taylor and her husband, Terry, Marilyn Ashman and her husband Brian, all of England and the late John Simmons. He is the son of the late Rose (Russell) Simmons and Albert Simmons. Many loving nieces and nephews survive him here in the USA and England. FULCHINO, who died following a lengthy illness on Thursday, January 7th at Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett. The funeral will be conducted from the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St.& Winthrop Ave.),Revere at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Born & raised in Revere, “Bill” lived here for over 60 years, before moving to Reading. For over 40 years, his career with General Electric Co. of Lynn was spent concurrently with his extraordinary time with the US NAVY and the US NAVAL RESERVES, until his 60th birthday (Feb.25th, 1978)when he formally retired from the Reserves as a CHIEF ELECTRICIAN’s MATE. At G.E. he retired as a MASTER & MECHANICAL ELECTRICAL ENGINEER. He & his elegant wife of 63 years, Mary A.(Statuto) Fulchino, were devotees of the Immaculate Conception Church of Revere & were also outstanding & generous supporters of the IC Community Parish Family. “Bill” was an usher at the church & a member of the Holy Name Society. He was also a life-member of the Revere Council, #179 knights of Columbus. He joined the US NAVY in May of 1942, serving as a veteran of WW II, the Korean Conflict & the Vietnam Era & served with the NAVAL RESERVE until Feb. 25th, 1978.

He was the son of the late Ralph & Lena (Cantone) Fulchino and the dear brother of the late, Victor, Carmine & Anna Fulchino & the late Dr. Albert Fulchino, PhD. Ed. & Dr. Harry Fulchino, M.D. He is the devoted uncle of Christin Mangan & her husband, David of Wakefield, Ann Marie Hemphill of Norfolk, Ma., Thomas Fulchino of Auburn, Ma., Paul Fulchino of West Palm Beach, Fl., Anthony Statuto & his wife, Grace of Danvers, Stephen A. Statuto of Disney World, Fl., Kathleen A. McCarthy of Saugus, Robert R. Corso & his wife, Lisa M. of Middleton, Nancy E. Rollins & her husband, Steven A. of Lee, N.H. & the late Ralph Fulchino. Matthew J. “Pooch” Reppucci

His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in Immaculate Conception Church (corner of Beach St.& Winthrop Ave.),REVERE at 10:30 a.m.

Born in Malden, he lived in Revere for most of his life, before moving to Hampstead, N.H. two years ago. Matt was an alumnus of MALDEN CATHOLIC HIGH, CLASS OF 1998 & FITCHBURG UNIVERSITY-CLASS OF 2002. For the past five years, he worked with the Iron Workers and was a member of the BOSTON IRON WORKERS UNION, LOCAL #7. Throughout his high school and college years, he was an outstanding athlete, especially in football.

He is the cherished son of Linda M. Stasio-Reppucci of Revere & the late, Paul G. Reppucci, died on Jan. 12th, 2014. He is the adored brother of, Tammy L. Marra & her husband, James J. of Hampstead, NH., & Paul G. Reppucci, II and his wife, Jacqueline A. of Stratham, N.H.,formerly of Revere. He is lovingly survived by his fiancee,Telma Gagnon of Malden, his beloved grandfather, John M. Stasio of Revere, 3 nieces, Crystal, Melayna & Samantha & 3 nephews, Gennaro, Joseph & Matteo. He was also the grandson of the late, Barbara L. (Finlay) Stasio & Emilio & Carmela B. (Alconada) Reppucci. Many devoted aunts, uncles & cousins also survive him. Interment will be in
Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Domenica C. “Maggie” (Ferraro) Aloisi

Born in Lynn, Ma, she was a life long Revere resident, graduating Revere High School, Class of 1943. “Maggie” as she was affectionately called, married in October of 1946 Giusto A. “Gus” Aloisi. The couple celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this past October. A grand lady of the “old school”, she embodied all things family, i.e., an extraordinary housekeeper, an intrinsic gourmet cook, and a prize-winning baker. Among her family, extended family & friends, she will long be remembered for her gentle spirit and genuine loving persona.

 

 

She is the cherished mother of Domenic D. Aloisi & his wife, Linda of Uxbridge, Anthony Aloisi & his wife, Doreen M. of Revere & Robert D. Aloisi & his wife, Donna of No. Reading. She is the adoring grandmother to David D. Aloisi & his wife, Lisa of West Townsend, Ma., Susan M. Greene & her husband, Thomas of Douglas, Ma., Anthony R. Aloisi & his wife, Amie of Haverhill, Joseph D. Aloisi & his wife, Melissa of South Boston, Christina M. Aloisi, R.N. of Revere, Nicholas R. Aloisi of No. Reading, Matthew Aloisi of Atkinson, N.H. She is the faithful & dear sister to Anna L. McKinnon & her late husband, John of Revere & the late, Mary Costanzo, Lawrence L. & Joseph L. Ferraro. Patricia E. (Fallon) Colburne

(Fallon) Colburne, who died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 13th Colburne, Patriciafollowing a brief illness at Winchester Hospital, Winchester, on Saturday, January 9th at 10:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere.

Born & raised in Chelsea, she was an alumna of Chelsea High School, Class of 1944. Most of her working career, was spent with NE. Tel & Tel., as a telephone operator, retiring in 1991, after 30 years of service. She also worked for the ADEPT Telephone Answering Service for several years, before final retirement. She lived in Revere for many years, before moving to the Barnstead-Merrimac Region of New Hampshire for about 20 years, returning to Wakefield, MA, “Pat” was a member of the Tel. Pioneers of America and a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish Community. Her late husband, Jack W. Colburne passed in March of 1981.

 

She is the cherished mother of, John W. “Jack” Colburne of Ayer, Ma. She was the devoted sister of the late, Ret. Chelsea Patrolman, Joseph E. Fallon, Lorraine M. Bowman, Marcella Edgett & Ernestine Page. She is also lovingly survived by her sister-in-law, Concetta “Connie” Fallon of Wakefield & many caring nephews, nieces ,grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Remembrances may be made to your favorite charity. Interment will be held privately at a latter time at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Lorraine C. (Cutillo) Malinowski

(Cutillo) Malinowski, who died on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 at Winchester Hospital, unexpectedly, two days following her 83rd birthday. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday, January 5th at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., REVERE at 10:00 a.m.

Born in Boston, she came to live in Revere as a young girl attending Revere Schools & graduating from Revere High School in 1950. She lived in Revere most of her life, until moving to Woburn in 1995. From 1982-2012, for thirty years, she served as an Administrative Assistant & then as Assistant Bursar for Northeastern University of Boston. Concurrently, she worked as office manager & book-keeper for “Andy’s Gas Station” on Broadway, Revere. A woman of tremendous energy, she kept her home and raised her family, lovingly and tenderly. She was an active member of the Ladies Lodge of the Women of the Moose of Revere & also taught CCD for her parish at St. Anthony’s of Revere for several years.

 

Her beloved late husband, Adam V. Malinowski passed in October of 1989. She is the cherished mother of Attorney Adam J. Malinowski & his wife, Theresa A. of Malden & Richard A. Malinowski of Revere. She is also the devoted grandmother of Rachael A. Malinowski of Baltimore, Maryland & Molly E. & Nikolaus A. Malinowski both of Malden. She is also survived by her adoring companion of 25 years, John J. Morandi of Woburn. She is the dear sister of Janet M. Stuppia & her husband, Michael Sr. of Revere & the late, Louis R., Frank R. & Robert J. Cutillo & her sister, Florence E. Cantone who passed in August of 2015. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces & nephews. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Mary C. (Vitale) Peacock

(VITALE) Peacock, who died after a most valiant struggle with ovarian cancer on Sunday, December 27th at Winchester Hospital, Winchester. Her funeral will be conducted from the Funeral Home on Thursday, December 31st at 9:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, 302 Elm St. , Everett at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, with her beloved husband, Henry C. Peacock who passed in February of 1985.
Mary attended Revere public schools and was an alumna of Revere High School, class of 1964. She married and had four children, the center of her life. However, always the mother, she took over the role of matriarch of the family when her Mom, passed in 1983. She cared very specially for her siblings, all six of them. When her brothers, became very successful in the firm of Vitale & Cataurano, she established a complete kitchen at the facility to cook for them & establish superb meals for them & their associates, at outstanding schedules. She did this from 1980-2010, when she began to become ill. She loved doing as she did and seemed to have an incredible source of energy and enthusiasm, in spite of her diagnosis.

 

 

She is the cherished mother of Wayne M. Peacock of Bridgewater, Matthew J. Peacock & his wife Kathleen of Wethersfield, CT., Jeremy T. Peacock & his wife, Emily L. of Groveland, Lia C. Peacock-Melon & her husband, Matthew of Saugus. She is the devoted grandmother of, Brittany, Andrew, Ryan, Julia, Isabella, Jaxon, Jillian, Nathan, Elena, & the late, Emma, Grace & John. She is the dear sister of Charles J. Vitale & his wife, Shirley of Antioch, Calif., William R. Vitale & his wife Caroline of Billerica, Richard D. Krause, who died on Wednesday, December 23rd at Massachusetts General Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

 

Born in Dorchester, she attended Boston schools. The family later moved to Mattapan, where she lived for many years, before moving to Revere, in 1993. She worked as a lithograph specialist, for Rust Craft Greeting Card Co. for many years. Later in her career, she would
become a health-aide & homemaker in the Revere area. She was a life-long member & devotee of the First Lutheran Church of Boston. One of her greatest joys was to attend Sunday services until her health declined.

She was the beloved daughter of the late John & Augusta (Baise) Krause. She is the devoted sister of Edward Krause & his wife, Elizabeth “Bette” of Quincy, Mrs. Diane Ristow of Ellsworth, Wisconsin & the late William Krause. She is also lovingly survived by several nieces & nephews. Interment will be in the family lot at Gethsemane Cemetery “The Gardens” in West Roxbury. The Reverend Ingo R. Dutzman, Pastor, will officiate at the services, a long time friend of the deceased.

Carl D. Tranfaglia

Born & raised in Revere, he was a 1940 alumnus of Revere High School & lived in Revere for his entire life. He entered the US NAVY in August of 1941 & served until Feb. of 1947, as a Sonar man 1st Class. He began his career with the US POSTAL SERVICE, soon after returning home from the Navy & spent most of his career at the supervisory level at South Postal Annex. He retired in 1987.

 

He is the beloved husband of 67 years to Alice C.(John) Tranfaglia. He is the devoted father of Carl D. Tranfaglia, Jr. of Lynn, Paul W. Tranfaglia of Revere & Debra Bruno & her husband, Robert of Georgetown. He is the dear brother of Alfred “Libby” Tranfaglia of Revere. He is also lovingly survived by seven grandchildren, five (5) great-grandchildren & many nieces & nephews. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery,Everett.
