Bill’s career was in telecommunications, retiring from Verizon and continuing on to run Wireless Communications LLC. He was most proud of his family, which brought him great joy and happiness. He was truly the light of their lives. He lived life to the fullest, had a love of photography and photographed every moment. He loved hiking, being active outdoors, and was an expert marksman. He was a friend to all, kind, generous with a beautiful soul that welcomed you in from the very moment you met him. Late U.S. Navy Vietnam Era Veteran.

Eve M. (Barron) Spagnola
Eve M. (Barron) Spagnola passed away on Monday, April 1st at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a long illness. She was 56 years old.
Eve was born & raised in Revere and was an Alumna of Revere High School, Class of 1981. After high school, Eve worked various jobs as a server in Boston’s Faneuil Hall area and later on the North Shore. Eve later married, Louis Spagnola and the couple resided in Revere and together raised their daughter Jeanne. Due to Eve’s poor health she became disabled and was no longer able to work. Eve left Revere and settled in Malden in 2014. Her health continued to decline until her death.
She is the loving mother of Jeanne M. Barron of Revere. Beloved wife of the late Louis A. Spagnola. Cherished daughter of Robert J. Barron of New Hampshire & the late Jeanne Roberts. She is the dear sister of Diane Barron of Lynn. Also lovingly survived by her dear mother in law Lena Spagnola and her family of Revere and several nieces & nephews.

Vincent F. Cammarata, Sr.

Cammarata, Sr., who passed on Sunday, March 31st with the comfort & presence of his God and his devoted & faithful family surrounding him. Vincent’s funeral will be conducted from the funeral home, on Thursday, April 4th at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 670 Washington Ave., REVERE at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
Born & raised briefly in South Boston, the family migrated to Toscano Avenue, Revere. Little did Vincent realize that he was home for the rest of his long and full life within the emerging City of Revere. He would become an alumnus of Revere High School in 1942. In February of 1944, he joined the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served with honor and dignity (The hallmark of his life) on board the U.S.S. LST 308. On April 15, 1946, he was discharged & released to the abundanza of love that awaited him on Toscano Ave. in Revere. He was discharged with the rank of Ship Fitter-2nd Class and was the recipient of the World War II Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Medal with one bronze star, American Area Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Medal & a Commendation by the C.O. He would speak about his service-time only as of late, perhaps during the last the year of his life. This indeed was another example of the intrinsic humility and dignity that ruled Vincent’s life. Vincent’s time at Revere’s Board of Health is legendary. Legendary because of the continued respect that his name invokes. He was brilliant in the management of the countless number of complaints the Board would receive. The late Anna Flynn, Secretary to the Board, of happy remembrance, would often tell of the perfect patience that Vincent would execute in the resolutions of the daily drama & problems. His time as a senior code enforcement inspector for the Revere Board of Health spanned over 18 years. His life was dedicated to civic activities, politics and community involvement. He served as a member of the Revere Park Commission & was on the fund-raising committee for the former Revere Hospital. His life included a term as a Revere School Committeeman from 1960-1963. He served a 15-year term with the Revere Conservation Committee and retired 2 years ago at the age of 93. Vincent gave to the city of Revere, a 45-year span of service and unparalleled dedication in the field of political & community service. He was also a very active member of St. Mary’ s Holy Name Society. He maintained a membership as the senior member of the Revere Knights of Columbus #179 for over 40 years. His family were among the founders and builders of the first St. Mary’s, which was then called St. Lucy’s Church. Through the expertise and comradery, with his cousin Vincent “Sonny” Cammarata, they were able to establish a committee to create and organize the new St. Lucy’s Chapel. Again, the Cammarata family were instrumental in the establishment of the Pietrapezzia Lodge OSIA, Lodge 491. Pietrapezzia is a village located off the coast of Italy on the island of Sicily from whence the Cammarata family immigrated to America. On July 10th, 2004, the love of Vinny’s life, his wife, Lucy M. (Ribaudo), passed unexpectedly. The loss was great to the entire family, but especially to Vinny.
He is the devoted father of Dr. Salvatore L. Cammarata & his wife Barbara A. of Lynnfield, John V. Cammarata of Revere & his former wife Paula Magliochetti of North Andover, Rosemary S. Pisani & her husband Paul F. of Lynnfield & Vincent F. Cammarata, Jr. & his wife Grail of Fairport, NY. Dear brother of the late Theresa L. Cammarata & Rocco J. Cammarata & his late wife Antonetta. Cherished grandfather to Jason V. Cammarata & wife Liz, Paul F. Pisani, Jr. & wife Catherine, Erich J. Cammarata, Damian V. Pisani & his wife Lisa, Anthony P. Dolores (Tata) Nicholas
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 6th in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., REVERE at 11:00 a.m. for Dolores (Tata) Nicholas, of Corinth, TX, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13th at her home surrounded by her immediate family. She was 90 years of age.
Dolores, the youngest of six siblings, was born on December 22, 1928, in Auburn, New York, to Giovanni and Maria Tata. When Dolores was young, her parents moved to Revere, Massachusetts, where she attended Revere schools. Dolores was a cheerleader and graduate of Revere High School. She went on to work at Boston City Hospital as a lab technician and for Dr. Eli Freidman, Chief of Pediatrics at Boston City Hospital. During this time, Dolores was also a dance instructor and many people used to watch her while she instructed classes in Latin Dance. Dolores had dreams of going to Broadway to be a dancer and was also offered a job as a women’s clothing buyer in New York City, but her family discouraged these choices as neither career was considered proper for a young woman at the time. Still, Dolores was always known for her impeccable taste in both fashion and home decor. Dolores met her future husband, James K. Nicholas, Jr. in September of 1960, at Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire, where they were introduced by mutual friends. On December 2, 1960, James and Dolores were married. While James served in the Army, the couple lived at Ft. Benning, Georgia, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, and Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. The couple settled in Denton, TX in 1971, where Dolores fully realized her dream as a wife, mother, and full-time homemaker. When her two daughters were young, she assisted as school nurse at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School for many years as well. She loved and served her church in many capacities, including CCD teacher.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Maria Tata, and her siblings, Pete Tata, Madaline Occhipinti, Buddy Tata, Malvina Cafarelli, Pat Tata and her two sons, James and Michael. Dolores is survived by her husband of 58 years, James of Corinth; daughter, Maria Nicholas Martin and son-in-law, Ed Martin of Dallas; her daughter, Claudine Nicholas of Charleston, South Carolina and numerous nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends. She will be dearly missed. Entombment will be private.

Michael R. Starr

Starr, who died sadly of a random attack in Everett on March 26th, as he was leaving a convenience store. He was only 54 years old. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation, in the funeral home, at 3:15 p.m.
Michael was a lifelong resident of the North Shore. He was raised & educated in Revere and is an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1983. Michael went onto work in the trades, mainly as an apprentice plumber. He was not limited in just one specific area, he possessed a mechanical mind. His aptitude of machinery, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing was his strong suit. Unfortunately, due to his declining health, he became disabled and was no longer able to work.
He is the loving son of the late Dorothy A. (Snow) Starr Strum and the late Francis W. Starr, Jr. and stepson of Joan Starr. Loving brother of William F. Starr & his wife Debra of Gastonia, NC, Ellen Murphy and her husband Michael of Salem, MA and Dorothy Nicholas and her husband Jeff of Hubert, NC and stepbrother of John Sousa of Charlotte, NC, He was also lovingly survived by his longtime companion Donna Niedzwiecki of Everett & and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews & cousins.

Clare M. O’Brien

Col. Clare M. O’Brien, who passed following a lengthy illness on Monday, March 25th. A Funeral Mass will follow the visitation at the St. Michael the Archangel Chapel, 90 Crest Ave., on the campus of the Chelsea Soldiers’ Home, Chelsea at 11:00 a.m. and immediately followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Lt. Col. O’Brien lived and was educated in Revere and was a 1948 alumna of the Immaculate Conception High School of Revere. She entered the Air Force in February of 1956 at the end of the Korean Conflict & served until & thru the entire Vietnam Era, completing twenty years of service in February of 1976. She was an alumna of the Chelsea Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. Lt. Col. O’Brien’s service history and accomplishments were many. She was the recipient of the Bronze Star, Air Force Longevity Service Award, Air Force Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Award, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, among other commendations & achievements. After retirement, she made her home in Falmouth, MA remaining there until last year (2018).
Clare was the beloved daughter of the late Ret. Revere Fire Lt. Jeremiah R. O’Brien & Eleanor F. (McQueeney) O’Brien. She is the cherished sister of the late Richard O’Brien & his wife Margaret Mary O’Brien of Silver Spring, MD, the late William O’Brien & his late wife Lucille, the late Mary Jane Rainge & her late husband Hugh R. Rainge, and John P. O’Brien & his wife, Mary of Norwood. She is the aunt of Eileen M. McLaughlin of Herndon, VA, the late Kathleen O’Brien, John C. O’Brien of Mansfield, MA, William D. O’Brien of Watertown, NY, Julie O’Brien of Yarmouth, MA, Beth M. DiBiasi of Windsor Locks, CT, Elisabeth Rainge of Wayland, MA, Maryellen St. George of Gainesville, VA, and Kristine R. Mary worked her early years as a waitress at several of the venues at Logan Airport & at the former Reardon’s Restaurant of Revere. She, lastly, was employed at Cerretani’s Market Inc. in Revere as a clerk, a job she enjoyed. Mary had a large & outgoing personality, always, a smile and always a laugh. Foremost in her world was her late beloved husband, Peter E. McCauley, Sr., who passed in August of 2009.
She is the devoted mother of Virginia A. Cerretani of Revere, Peter E. McCauley Jr. & his wife, Marion “Meg” of Orlando, Florida, Donna M. Testa & her husband, Lawrence of Reading. She is the cherished grandmother to Alexandra C. & Ashley M. Testa, both of Reading, GianPaolo Cerretani of Revere & Kelli Y. McCauley of Orlando, Florida. George was a lifelong Revere resident. He was born, raised and educated in Revere and is an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1958. George enlisted in the United States Army & served his country proudly for his duration during the Vietnam Conflict. When he returned home to Revere, he joined the Revere Fire Department as a Firefighter. A career that George loved and would span 41 years. He rose through the ranks and retired as Sr. Deputy Chief. He married his one & only true love in 1963, M. Yvonne D’Eon & the couple remained in Revere and began their life together and their family. George was always remembered by his family & friends as always being a dedicated family man and working 2 jobs, the Revere Fire Department & as a truck driver for Mass Truck Body & Trailer of Chelsea. As he was busy working 2 jobs, raising his family, he also took his education very seriously and went back to school so he could further his position in the Fire Department. He earned his Associates degree in Fire Science at North Shore Community College. He had a very humble and quiet demeanor. He was a kind man and above all a man of great moral character. He served as the President of the Revere Firefighters Credit Union, Local 926 for well over 20 years. He was a member of Boston Sparks, Box 52 & Monday Night Bowlers of Wakefield.
Loving & devoted husband of 55 years to M. Yvonne (D’Eon) Taglieri of Revere. Cherished father of George Taglieri, III & wife Jane of Boston, M. Janice T. (Paterna) Webber

(Paterna) Webber, who died on Friday, March 15th at the Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford, following a long illness with ovarian cancer. She just celebrated her 70th birthday on February 9th. A Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home, following the visitation, at 2:15 p.m.
Janice was born & raised in East Boston and she was an alumna of Fitton High School, Class of 1966. After graduation, Janice worked in health care services as a Pharmacy Technician. She began her long career at Chartwell, later taking a position at Apria Health, which is now Coram Health. She loved her work and did it for over 30 years until she retired in 2015. Janice was married to her soul mate, Ronald Webber in September of 1970. The couple lived in Walpole then later settling in Millis. She had a deep affection & love for all animals but most significant were horses. She also loved her New England Patriots. She was a super fan and never missed a game.
She is the cherished wife of Ronald J. Webber of Millis. Devoted daughter of the late Anthony & Theresa (Tennerini) Paterna. Loving sister of Maria A. D’Amico of Lancaster, New Hampshire.
