Robert A. Rossetti
Funeral Services were held privately for Robert A. Rossetti, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers on Friday, November 29th following a yearlong battle with Laryngeal Cancer. He was 65 years old.
Bob was born & raised in Revere, he was educated in Revere schools and was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1972. As a young man, Bob worked at Central Cycle assembling & repairing all types of bikes. He possessed the innate ability to repair, fix or build anything. Whether it was mechanical, electrical or anything that had to do with home construction. As he began his family, he turned his sights and knowledge to the plumbing industry. He was a member of Local #12 and worked in that field for approximately 15 years until suffering an injury that forced him into an early retirement. Bob was married in 1981, he and his wife moved from Revere to Peabody, where together they began their family. They later moved to Malden where they have been residing for the past 32 years. One of Bob’s other passions was his garden. He was an avid gardener and it gave him a great sense of joy.
He is the devoted husband of 38 years to Rosanne (Vecchiarello) Rossetti of Malden. Loving father of Robert J. Rossetti of Danvers, Adam T. Rossetti of Tewksbury & Alexis A. Rossetti of Malden. Beloved grandfather of Emma R. Rossetti. Beloved son of the late Robert P. & Madeline A. (Mattera) Rossetti. Brother of David R. Rossetti of Rowley, Richard A. Rossetti of Byfield & Joan Yasharian of Naples, Florida. Dear brother in law of Suzanne Mirisola & husband Guy of Revere. He is also lovingly survived by several nieces & nephews.

Paul J. Magee
Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Monday, December 2nd from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rt. 107) REVERE, for Paul J. Magee, who died on Tuesday, November 19th at the Brigham & Women’s – Faulkner Hospital after a long & arduous battle with Chronic Dysphagia. He was 58 years old. A Funeral Service will be conducted in the funeral home, immediately following the visitation, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately at New Calvary Cemetery in Boston.
Paul was born on June 29, 1961 to Francis J. & Ellena I. (Cover) Magee and was raised in West Roxbury. Due to Paul’s overall health, he was placed in the care of the May Institute. That is where Paul made his home & friends that became his family. Paul had a gentle and loving way about him and was a pleasant person to be around and had a gentle soul. Paul was a polite person who was always sure to thank those that did things for him. Paul was a friendly person who enjoyed giving “fist bumps” as his personal greeting. He always had a good sense of humor and he got along well with those he lived with. His easy-going nature allowed him to bond with those around him. Paul went to kindergarten with one of his housemates, Michael, and they had a special connection that lasted many years. He was also close to Michael’s mother Agnes. They saw one another regularly when Agnes would visit the home. He enjoyed sports in general but he especially loved following the Red Sox. Paul enjoyed going to Red Sox games with his housemates and peers. When he would be relaxing at his home, he enjoyed a good cup of coffee. That always put a smile on his face. Paul also enjoyed looking at newspapers and magazines. One of Paul’s hobbies was to write and color. Doing this with a good cup of coffee was especially enjoyable to Paul. Prior to becoming more limited due to health issues, Paul enjoyed traveling. In 2007, he enjoyed a trip to Disney World and he also enjoyed a cruise around the same time. Unfortunately as Paul aged, these sort of trips become more difficult for him.

Helen (Pazyra) Vecchiarello

She was 87 years of age. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, November 27th at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) REVERE at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) and immediately followed with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaw & Apolonia (Hardel) Pazyra. She attended Chelsea schools and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. Shortly after High School, she married John B. Vecchiarello, and the couple settled in Revere to begin their family. A devoted wife and mother, Helen also worked outside of the home for many years. She worked in the Housekeeping Department for various local hospitals including the Grover Manor and the Revere Memorial Hospital. She retired from the Atlanticare Nursing Home (now the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center) in Revere in the early 1990s. Helen was an avid gardener and to honor her memory, please plant a special flower in the spring in remembrance of her.
She is the beloved wife of 62 years to the late John B. Vecchiarello, who passed on July 26, 2015. Devoted mother of Rosanne Rossetti & husband Robert of Malden and Suzanne Mirisola & husband Guy of Revere. Cherished grandmother of Corey Mirisola & wife Kaitlyn of Lynn, Ryan Mirisola of Revere, Robert J. Rossetti of Danvers, Adam Rossetti of Tewksbury & Alexis Rossetti of Malden. Adored great grandmother of Emma Rose. Dear sister of the late Irene Cyr, Anne Chaklos, Angela Ford, Joseph, Jane & Frank Pazyra. She is also lovingly survived by her sister in law Concetta “Tina” Lonardelli & husband Jack of Cambridge and many caring nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Katzman Family Center for Living, formerly the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home, including the Doctors, Nurses, Aides, Kitchen & Maintenance Staff for the exceptional care given to Helen.

Marguerite P. (Ricciardelli) Belgiorno

(Ricciardelli) Belgiorno, who passed away in the serene presence of her God & her loving family in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, November 20th after a very brief illness. She was 96 years old. A Funeral Service will be conducted in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m., followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
Marguerite was born in Glens Falls, New York to Antonio & Mary (Fusco) Ricciardelli. Shortly thereafter, the family moved from New York & settled in East Boston. Marguerite was educated in Boston Schools and was an alumna of East Boston High School, Class of 1940. She began a career as a seamstress after graduation working in the garment district for several years, specializing as a “Millner” making hats. On September 6th, 1942 she married the love of her life, Ermanno “Al” Belgiorno. The couple moved to Revere in 1954, where they would raise their family. Marguerite continued to work as a seamstress, her work was her passion. She loved to sew and make creations. While she was raising her family, she continued as a seamstress working from her home. Her client list grew as everyone would seek her out for their tailoring needs. She never let anything go to waste and she would find various uses for all of her materials. Her talents were endless and so were her limits. She could turn a pair of old drapes into a dress, re-wire a lamp, refinish a piece of furniture, upholster a chair or whatever needed to be repaired. Marguerite was also a proud homemaker and excellent cook. Her greatest achievement was her family, it was her biggest love and her favorite place to be was with her family. She surrounded herself with her children and grandchildren all the time. She was an active grandmother, always present at her grandchildren’s sporting events, games, recitals or whatever the occasion. Her love was always present for her family & they demonstrated the same for their beautiful wonderful loving matriarch.
She is the devoted wife of 74 years to the late Ermanno A. “Al” Belgiorno, who passed on Jan. 19, 2017. Loving & proud mother of Paula M. DeSimone & husband Christopher of Pepperell, Stephen P. Belgiorno & wife Taryn of Danvers & Denise C. Belgiorno & fiancé Zino Amato of Revere. Cherished grandmother of Pamela C. Jeffre & husband Daniel of Clearwater, FL, David M. DeSimone & wife Tierney Bianconi of Somerville, Diana M. Belgiorno of Danvers & Leanne R. Belgiorno of Manhattan, NY. Adored great-grandmother of Elias C. & Isaac D. Jeffre of Clearwater, Fl. Edna was born & raised in East Boston. She attended Boston Public Schools and was an alumna of Girls High in Roxbury, Class of 1943. Edna was married in 1956 to Charles P. Dankens. The couple settled in Revere and it was there where they made their home. Edna was a very proud housewife & mother of her only child Peter. She raised her son and maintained a beautiful home for her family. During this time, Edna remained quite close with all of her siblings. Edna always put her family above all and was a woman of faith and a woman of giving. Her charitable giving was always done in a quiet manner and anonymously never looking for credit or accolades. She gave from her heart and was always generous when doing so, whether it was a church event, fundraiser, a person in need or just a little something for the busboy at a restaurant. Her giving and caring ways demonstrated her character and her graceful persona. In her later years, Edna returned to work as an Administrative Assistant for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Energy & Resources. During her time working there, she longed to further her education and she enrolled in Boston University as a student while working full time and tending to her responsibilities as mother & wife. In 2000, Edna became a proud Alumna of Boston University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Art & Art History. She was very proud of this personal accomplishment due to her deep passion for Art & Art History. Edna was an avid traveler to Europe, Canada & other parts of the world and would always frequent museums to learn and to view artwork on exhibit. She was also an avid reader of all types of books & novels. In her later years, she moved to Andover to be closer to her son and daughter-in -law, Maria and her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her pride & joy and she loved being around them. She was a gracious witty, articulate and very intelligent woman who her family truly cherished & loved.
She is the devoted wife of the late Charles P. Dankens. The loving mother of Peter C. Dankens & wife Maria of Andover. Cherished grandmother of Charles J., Catherine M. & Claire E. Dankens, all of Andover. Dear sister of George J. Matthews & wife Kathleen of Manchester by the Sea, Ann Regan & her late husband Thomas of Belmont, Dr. Wallace J. Matthews, Jr. & wife Sherry Loo of Honolulu, Hawaii and the late Alicia F. Matthews & Joan Peterson. Dr. DeLena died on Wednesday, November 14th, in Hospice in Seminole, Florida, where he had retired to over 25 years ago.
Born & raised in Revere, he was an alumnus (1944) of St. Francis Seraphic High School in Andover. He was 1951 Graduate of Merrimack College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1951 & continued onto Suffolk University of Boston graduating in 1953. He further attended & graduated from Calvin Coolidge College & received his Doctorate in Education. He taught for several years Within the Revere School System & from about 1959 was the Director of Mental Health System for the City of Revere retiring in 1981. He also held the position of Assistant Superintendent for the City of Revere for several years. He joined the U.S. Army in August of 1946 & served until December of 1947. Continuing with military service, he was a member of the Army National Reserves for over 25 years, retiring with the rank of Lt. Colonel.
He is the beloved son of the late Joseph & Theresa (Quintina) DeLena. Devoted brother of Robert DeLena & wife Joan of Melrose, Richard DeLena & wife Marilyn of Miami, FL & the late Frank DiLena & Louis, Jerry & Ronald DeLena, Catherine Penza, Rose Marotta & Gloria MacDonald. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

Born & raised in Everett, she was an alumna of Everett High School, Class of 1939. Seventy-six years ago, in 1943, she married Dexter W. Cribbie & they enjoyed 73 years united in happiness until his sudden passing on April 9, 2016. Following the marriage of her daughters and their settlement, she took a clerks position at the former Angelique’s Specialty Shoppe on Route 1 in Saugus. Her radiant & very competent personality rendered her an asset, in the sales aspect of the Shoppe. She would remain at her position for 15 years & retired at the age of 70. The family who owned & operated the Shoppe, considered her family, as she had felt & maintained a close & loving relationship until her passing with the daughter of the Shoppe’s owners, Kristin “Tina” Thomas & her husband, Robert of Saugus. Often, Christine would refer to “Tina” as her third daughter.
She is the beloved wife of the late Dexter W. Cribbie with whom she shared 73 years of marital happiness until his passing on April 9th, 2016. Cherished mother of Judith A. “Judy” Santeusanio & her late husband John N. Santeusanio of Revere & Cheryl M. Covalucci & her husband John J. of Hubbardston, MA. Adored grandmother to John D. Mary was born & raised in Somerville. She was educated in Somerville Public Schools and was an alumna of Somerville High School. Mary was married in 1948 to John F. “Johnny T.” Travalgia and they later moved to Revere where they began to raise their family. Mary was very proud of her “Irish Heritage” & let you know it. She was a fantastic cook and mastered Italian cooking for her husband and family. Her meals were legendary and her family cherished every meal. Mary worked as a waitress at the famous Frank’s Steakhouse for 25 years. Her witty and fiery personality allowed her to love what she did. She made many friends through the years and customers that would always request her because of her dedicated service & personality. Family was paramount in her life, from playing jokes on her siblings to being surrounded by her children & grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and always was ready for a good time with endless laughs. Mary also was an avid Boston Sports fan and loved the Red Sox & Patriots. We also think that the secret to Mary’s long life may have been her nightly glass or two of wine. Her family lost their matriarch but they will always have her in their hearts & minds for the rest of their lives.

Olga was born on March 20th, 1928 to Steven & Apollonia (Pohorecka) Joltki in Boston’s West End. She was educated in Boston Public Schools and was an alumna of Girls High School, Class of 1945. After graduation, the Second World War was ongoing & Olga secured a job working in a factory where rubber lifeboats for the soldiers were manufactured. Olga was married in 1949 to Charles Kasinowicz & she and her husband remained in the West End and together the couple owned & operated “Barney Sheff’s” Delicatessen in Boston. They operated the deli for approximately 5 years. Olga and her husband moved to Revere in 1959, where she made her home until her death. She was a fastidious and proud homemaker & mother. Olga raised her son and returned to the work force working part-time at Filene’s in Boston’s historic “Downtown Crossing” as a salesclerk for about 10 years. Olga enjoyed cooking for her family and loved to garden. She would spend many days tending to her beautiful garden. She was also an avid reader of all sorts of books & novels. She also possessed the talent of crocheting and would make many wonderful creations for family & friends. Olga had a kind word for everyone she would meet, a true lady of grace.

James W. “Smitty” Smith

Born and raised in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Herbert H. and Alice (Hicks) Smith. He attended Chelsea schools and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. Following high school, he continued his education enrolling at Bridgewater State University earning his bachelor’s degree. He married Mary Rose (Orluk) and the couple began their family together and made their residence in Woburn where he remained for the past 40+ years. Smitty, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was a teacher in Woburn schools for the entirety of his career teaching at the Daniel L. Joyce Middle School and later in Woburn High School. During those years, he earned the respect of not only his students but also his fellow faculty members. He also served as a Track and Football coach for a number of years. A devoted husband and father, family was paramount to him and he was dedicated to his family; always looking after them and guiding them even as his children grew to become adults. His greatest honor was when he became a grandfather to his only granddaughter Ryleigh. She was his pride and joy and she adored him, and they loved spending time together.
