Ann (Gymziak) Vozella

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Tuesday, July 10th for Ann (Gymziak) Vozella, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) REVERE. Mrs. Vozella died on Tuesday, July 3rd in the Salem Woods Nursing Home of Salem, New Hampshire, following a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, July 11th at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Born & raised in Chelsea, Ann was an alumna of Chelsea High School, Class of 1960. Her working career included her bookkeeping position at Vozella Electric of Chelsea for several years. Later, she would hold the position of “Substitute” Teacher in St. Stanislaus School of Chelsea. Ann & Tony lived in Chelsea & Winthrop for many years, until moving to Salem, New Hampshire in 1974. Although, geographically, they were at a distance, they kept a tight & firm grip on their friends & friendships they made in Chelsea & Winthrop. She was a remarkable homemaker and care-giver for her family. She had an avid interest in many topics, which accounted for her avid interest in books. One of the prized & dearest possession of Ann’s was her books (volumes and boxes).

She is the beloved wife of 41 years to Anthony S. Vozella of Salem, NH & formerly of Chelsea. She is the cherished mother to Kelly Anne Dortona & her husband David of Salem, N.H., Christopher J. Manning of Londonderry, NH, Anthony V. Vozella & his wife Nancy of Saugus, Susan M. Goss & her husband Robert “Bobby” of Everett & the late Linda Greene & her late husband Paul. Ann is the dear sister to John Gymziak & his wife Linda of Georgetown & the late Raymond Gymziak. She is the devoted grandmother to Mark R. Wehrer, Annemarie J. Wehrer, Adam & Callie Michalsky, Jason T. Michalsky, Jaime B. Vozella, Anthony Vozella, IV, Stephanie Vozella, Paul Greene, Nicholas “Nick” Greene, Robert “Bobby” Goss, Lance Goss, Donnie, Bobby & Matt Dortona & the late Angelina Goss & Katie Vozella. She is also lovingly survived by seven great-grandchildren; Nathan Goss-Ventullo, C.J. Goss, Matthew & Mia Goss, Paul Greene, Caylee Hickman, Camila Goss & the late Brodie Goss-Feeley. Several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews also survive her.

Interment

Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden

We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
