G. Anthony “Tony” Radway

Family & friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, January 30th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) REVERE, for G. Anthony “Tony” Radway, who passed following a brief illness on Sunday, January 26th at the North Shore Medical Center of Salem. His Funeral Service will follow the Visitation in the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. & immediately will be followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Born, raised & schooled in Revere, he was 1953 alumnus of Revere High School. The family did move to Lynnfield in 1945, where they would remain their entire lives. Most of “Tony’s” working career was spent as a Senior Laborer for the former American Optical Co. of Chelsea for over thirty years. Never married, he spent all of his life, with his siblings in Lynnfield. They enjoyed a large & beautiful garden & “Tony” was the chief architect of the grounds. He continued to maintain the grounds until failing health came upon him. He was a long-time active member of the Lynnfield Council – Knights of Columbus of Lynnfield.

He is the beloved son of the late Leonard & Catherine (Darone) Radway. Devoted brother to Vita A. Radway & Arnold P. Radway, both of Lynnfield & the late Vivian Flint & Phyllis LeTourneau. He is also lovingly survived by many caring & proud nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
