Anthony S. “Nino” Nittolo

Family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Thursday, January 9th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) REVERE for Anthony Salvatore Nicola Mario Nittolo, known as Nino, who passed into the arms of Jesus after a brief illness in the early morning hours of January 6, 2020. His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, January 10th at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service to be conducted in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. and immediately followed with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Nino let his light shine without reservation or self-consciousness, but with genuine love and humility as a child, believing and trusting in the love of Jesus and the goodness of others. He encompassed innocence, untainted by worldly strife. His pleasures were simple: food and good company. God’s Holy Angels protected Him and at times he may have conversed with them. He awkwardly traveled this life within a small sphere, yet with all his limitations, he touched more hearts than we can ever know. He was a chunky Angel on earth, and now he is a Prince Child to the Lord King in Heaven.

He leaves behind his sister Lucia who was devoted to his care and well being. Also, he leaves friends: Millie Berry, Elena, Trev and Nickie Coccimiglio, Olina Roberto, Eva Caldarelli, Christine Butler, his buddy Larry Fiore and so many other family and church friends too numerous to name. All who knew Nino will cherish him forever in their hearts. They will never forget his face and the way it lit up with joy and laughter. He loved freely. He taught us much without knowing it. Jesus has built a very special place for you dearest Nino. He will reward you richly for your pure and innocent loving heart.

Lucy, we are so sorry for the loss of your dear brother Nino. Your love and devotion for him was an inspiration to us. You were an angel on Earth for him, as was he for you. Thinking of the two of you together at family events brings back many memories of our younger days and happy, fun times…you are steadfast in your Faith in Jesus so we know that, as sad as this time is, you will be okay…Nino will be okay too because we know that he is safe with Him in Heaven…Our God watches over all of his people, those alive on Earth and those alive in Heaven. You (all believers) will be together again one day in a world made new where there will be no more sorrow or death! For now, for Nino, as ma always says to our departed loved ones,”We wish you the best of the best in Heaven!” May God’s Peace be with you Lucy. Rachel and Luigi Russo

Send your condolences.

To all our families, friends, and residents of Revere, East Boston, and surrounding communities of the North Shore,

We would like to announce that after 37 years of caring for thousands of families at our 773 Broadway location, on January 31st, 2023 we will be officially RELOCATING, to our new location at 262 Beach St., Revere.
On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
Thank you for your friendship and continued support.
God bless you all.
Faithfully,

Your friends at Vertuccio Smith and Vazza.
