Antoinette (DeFusco) Barker

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, November 17th beginning at 9:00 a.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home barker-antoinettefor Funerals, 773 Broadway Revere for Antoinette (DeFusco) Barker who passed on Thursday, November 10th, following a lengthy illness at the West Revere Health Center. Her funeral will follow the visitation with a Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) REVERE at 11:00 a.m.

Mrs. Barker was born & raised in Lawrence, Mass & spent most of her life there, before moving to her daughter’s Revere home, eight years ago. A seamstress by profession, she worked for over forty years with the Greico Brothers Garment Inc. of Lawrence. A true member of the “greatest generation”, she maintained a superb work ethic.

She is the wife of the late Samuel Barker. Devoted mother of Kathleen Tridenti & her late husband Frank of Revere, formerly of Lawrence. Cherished Grandmother of Eric L. Tridenti of Revere & Danielle M. Tridenti of St. Louis, Missouri. Dear sister of the late Phyllis Marino. Also lovingly survived by her niece, Marion Rivers & her husband William of Reston, VA.  Interment will follow the funeral mass at St. Anthony’s Maronite Cemetery of Lawrence.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
