Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, February 19th from 9 to 11 a.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for Bernard F. “Franny” Boudette, who passed away at his home with his family following a long illness. A Funeral Service will take place following the visitation in the funeral home. Born & raised in Revere, Franny was a life long Resident. He attended Immaculate Conception Grammar & High School and was the Class President of the Class of 1941, . After graduation, Franny worked at Forbes Lithograph for a short time. In 1943 he enlisted in the United States Army to serve his country during the 2nd World War. 1946 Franny returned home and enrolled to Franklin Tech, attending a two year program, earning a certificate in Electrical Training. During this time, he was working for Boston Naval Ship Yard. In 1948 Franny would wed his bride, Lillian M. “Chickie” Ginnetti. The couple remained in Revere and started their family together. He later went to work at John Hancock Life Insurance Company as a Mechanical Systems Operator. Franny was known as being a quiet man, but had a very witty sense of humor. He was also a man who loved his family and was extremely humble. He is the devoted husband of Lillian M. “Chickie” (Ginnetti) Boudette of whom he shared 66 years of marriage. He is the loving father of Karen M. Webb & her husband Bill, He is the cherished grandfather of Eric J. Webb & Kristin E. Toledo & her husband Donny & the adored great grandfather of Jordan, Maxwell & Isabella all of Revere. He is the beloved brother of Catherine McCormack of Topsfield & the late C. Robert Boudette, Richard Boudette & Irene Guidara. He is the special brother in law of Mary “Molly” Boudette of Revere & Theresa Boudette of Saugus . Also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Late U.S. Army WWII Veteran. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to: The Home for Little Wanderers 271 Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02115.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
