Carmen J. Guarnera
Family & friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday, February 26th, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Carmen J. “Skippy” Guarnera, who died unexpectedly at his home in Revere on Saturday, February 22nd. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation in the funeral home at 8 p.m. Skippy was born and raised in East Boston. He attended Boston Public Schools and was a graduate ofEast Boston High School, Class of1956. After graduation, he enlisted into the United States Air Force. He served his country proudly for several years during his enlistment. He returned home and worked for several different companies in the contracting field. He married Arlene A. Leonard and settled in East Boston, where they began to start their family. The couple moved to Revere in the 1970’s along with their four children. Skippy then started his career as a salesman for All Nu Vinyl Siding in Revere. He had built many friendships throughout his years there. He is the beloved father of: Revere Firefighter Joseph P. Guarnera & his wife Gail of North Chelmsford, Julie A. Butt & her husband Jeffrey J. of Peabody, Michael S. Guarnera of Sherman Oakes, CA and Lisa M. Mignosa & her husband James of Winthrop. He is the cherished grandfather of Amanda G., Joseph C. & Joshua V. Guarnera all of North Chelmsford, Kayla M. & Kassidy A. Butt both of Peabody, and Tyler J. & Sydney A. Mignosa both of Winthrop. He is the loving brother of Lucille Loadman & her husband James of Florida, Catherine Selvitella & her husband Richard of North Easton, MA and the late Stephen Guarnera. He is the former husband of the late Arlene A. (Leonard) Guarnera. He is also lovingly survived by several nieces & nephews. Interment will be private.
