Charlette was born in Ludwigsburg, Germany while her father was serving his country. She and her family returned to Massachusetts and settled in Jeffries Point in East Boston. Charlette was educated in Boston Schools and was an alumna of East Boston High School, Class of 1978. Charlette always had a wit and a take-charge attitude who always spoke her mind, but Charlette was always a kind & loving person. She later moved to West Palm Beach, FL where she was married & began her family. She began her own cleaning company and was immediately being referred due to her fanatical cleaning obsession. Charlette, became very popular with many of the wealthier homeowners. She later returned to the Boston area, where she met her best friend & love Louie P. Abric, IV. Charlette immediately made friends in her new neighborhood and brought a level of energy there as well. She made friends everywhere she went and people gravitated towards her. She will be remembered in many ways for her unique & genuine ways.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Charles & Elizabeth L. “Betty” (Loberg). Loving mother of Victoria T. Dalton of Revere, Phillip C. Dalton & Michelle C. Hudson, both of Florida. Adored grandmother of Theo & Alexandria. Cherished companion of Louie P. Abric, IV of Revere with whom she made her home with. Dear sister of Elaine Hudson of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, Debra Hunter of Lakeworth, FL, Shelia Hudson – Parks & husband Robert of Wilmington & the late Charles R. Hudson & Beverly Grady. She is also lovingly survived by her former husband Phillip K. Dalton of Palm Beach, FL & many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews & many lifelong friends. She is predeceased by her faithful feline companion “Nico”. Interment will be private.
I am truly saddened by this loss. I met Charlette while volunteering at the Food Pantry when it was housed at the Rumney Marsh Academy. We became quick friends and always gravitated toward each other when we both showed up to help. We talked about everything under the sun. She was a force and ever since that day I first met her I just wanted to hang out with her. She was funny and fascinating. She never stopped laughing when we spent those hours together bagging food for the food pantry. I left with my belly aching from all the laughter. She will forever be in my thoughts. Sending love to her family and beyond.
My dear friend I will miss you and your beautiful smile. Rest in peace. Oxox
