Cheryl A. (LeClair) Ferragamo

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Wednesday, January 2nd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Vertuccio and Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere, for Cheryl A. (LeClair) Ferragamo, who passed away on Thursday, December 27th at her home in Revere, surrounded by her loving children, family & loved ones, who have battled valiantly along her side for the past 9 months after being diagnosed with cancer. She was 53 years old. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, January 3rd at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere, followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Cheryl was born & raised in Revere, she was educated in Revere Schools and was an alumna of Revere High School, Class of 1983. Cheryl began a career in banking at Shirley Credit Union in Revere as a teller, where she worked for approximately 10 years. She left her position in the bank to raise her children. Cheryl was a very active & dedicated mother, she was an activist for the PTA at the Paul Revere School & she was also a CCD instructor at St. Anthony’s Church for 10 years. Cheryl returned to the workforce when her children were older and she took a position at Eastern Bank in Swampscott, rising to the position of Senior Teller. Cheryl spent 14 years at this branch until she was forced to stop working due to her declining health. Cheryl was an amazing person to many people who knew her and she will be remembered for her bright smile and incredibly warm personality.

She is the loving mother of Courtney M. Ferragamo & her fiancé Christopher M. Mastropietro & Michael A. Ferragamo, Jr. & his fiancé Jessica Vazza all of Revere. Cherished daughter of Carl E. LeClair, Sr. & Virginia M. (Fay) LeClair of Revere. Adored Nanny to Calia M. Mastropietro. Dear sister of Carl E. LeClair, Jr. & his fiancé Denise A. Killoren of Stoneham, Rosanne E. Frongillo & her husband Vincent of Saugus, Marie V. Fronduto of Lynn, April J. DeLuca & her partner Christine MacInally of Revere, Derek A. LeClair of Revere & Carla S. Woodward of Maine. Devoted companion of Revere Police Sergeant Christopher Giannino, Jr. of Revere. Dear surrogate sister & best friend to Christine M. Ferrairo of Lynn. She is also lovingly survived by her former husband Michael A. Ferragamo, Sr. of Revere and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews, friends and extended family.

    The deepest abyss of pain and grief the human spirit can endure, is the death of your loved one. May our Lord give the family the strength to get through this. For I did not know this beautiful lady, but knew some family members, my prayers go out to you. She has only retired to the room next door. You will see her again. God Bless you.

    Cheryl, I met you when Courtney and Matthew were in the same kindergarten class at the Paul Revere School. I can not believe you are no longer with us. You were a beautiful person! Yesterday, I was driving home from work and the song “Stairway to Heaven” came on. I thought of you and how beautiful heaven must be. Fly high beautiful angel.

    You lit up a room bigger and brighter than any star, you were so warm and comforting that you made everyone around you feel so good. You were so special in everyway possible. I will miss seeing you and Christine(Thelma and Louise) side by side every where I would run into both of you.
