Dorothy “Dottie” (Hohler) Lebel

Dorothy “Dottie” (Hohler) Lebel passed away at 92 years on February 23rd at Care One of Peabody where she had been a resident for the past 4 years. Born and raised in Czechoslovakia. She was educated there and after graduating from high school, she met U.S. Army soldier Lucian J. Lebel. After a short courtship, the couple soon married. The started a family together and shortly after the birth of their first child, they came to live in the United States in 1949, settling in Cambridge and later in Tewksbury. They moved their family to Revere and resided here for over 60 years. Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband in 1993. A devoted wife and mother, Dorothy cared for her home and her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, routine walks down Broadway Revere and frequent visits to local diners to share conversation and coffee with friends.

She is the beloved wife of the late Lucien J. “Duke” Lebel. Devoted mother of Lucille E. Liberato and Eddie J. Lebel, both of Revere and Monique M. Lebel-Deacon of Beverly. Cherished grandmother of Wendy, Tina, Justin and Danielle. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
