Efrain “Freddie” Rodriguez

Family & Friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, July 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Vertuccio and Smith, Home for IMG_6423Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for Efrain”Freddie” Rodriguez, who died on Wednesday, June 29th at his Revere home surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with cancer, he was 63 years old. A funeral mass will be celebrated following the visitation, at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church 250 Revere St., Revere.

 

Born, raised & educated in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Freddie joined the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. He served the overseas, in Germany for several years before being honorably discharged. He settled in Revere, living with his aunt & uncle, working their restaurant , P.J.’s in Revere . He later worked for Ruma Produce in Chelsea and later for New England weatherproofing. After becoming very knowledgeable and skillful in the roofing business, he secured a position with Corrolla Construction where he worked for the past 15 years, until he was forced to stop working due to his declining health. Freddie also loved his guitar and listening to Spanish Country.

 

He is the devoted husband of 28 years of Ann C. (Vellucci) Rodriguez of Revere. Loving father of Wendoly Rodriguez & her husband Jesus Barriantos, Rosa E. Rodriguez, all of Puerto Rico & Fredie O. Rodriguez of Revere. Cherished grandfather of Christian, Alexis, Noel, Yadiel, Januel & Zoe. Dear brother of nine siblings. Also lovingly survived by many, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Late Viet Nam Army Veteran. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

Tuesday, July 5th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua, Revere

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
