Elaine J. (O’Donnell) Reardon

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, February 9th in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107), REVERE, beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), REVERE at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) for Elaine J. (O’Donnell) Reardon, who died unexpectedly on Monday, January 30th at the Cambridge Hospital, after being stricken at her Revere home.

Raised & schooled in Chelsea, she was an alumna of St. Rose High School of Chelsea, Class of 1958. She worked as a secretary for John Hancock Life Insurance Co., Boston for ten years. For over 31 years, she was a waitress & hostess at Reardon’s Restaurant in Revere until its closing in the late nineties.

She was the wife of the late Francis B.”Franny” Reardon, who died in August of 2012. She is the beloved mother of Gerald L. Styburski of Chelsea and the adored grandmother to Natalia M. Styburskl of Tewksbury. She is the dear sister to Cornelius W. O’Donnell & his wife Helen F. O’Donnell of Revere. She is the devoted aunt of Dr. Carolyn M. O’Donnell & her husband Jon J. Walker of Groton, MA and Timothy P. O’Donnell & his wife Milena of Revere, the late John P. “Jack P.” Reardon & his surviving wife Frances “Fran” of Lynn, Sheila A. Screnci of Saugus, Atty Michael H. Reardon of Washington, D.C., Patricia Schwabenbauer & her husband Michael of Erie, PA., John Reardon & his wife Susan of Merrimac, NH., Atty Stephen F. Reardon & his wife Daralyn of Revere, Patrick J. Reardon Jr. & his wife Donna of Revere, Janice Lane & her husband Thomas of Fairview, PA., former Revere Police Chief Terrence K. Reardon & his wife Laureen of Lynnfield & Mary Regis Fusco & her husband John of Stoneham. She is also lovingly survived by many grand-nieces & grand-nephews. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
