Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, August 27th, 2013 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Elaine (Orsini) Sforza, who died on Thursday, August 22nd at the Hammersmith Nursing Care Center of Saugus following a brief illness, at 72 years.  Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, August 28th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere, at 10 a.m.  Born in Chelsea, she was a life-long Revere resident & a graduate of Revere High School – Class of 1958.  Elaine worked for Stop & Shop of Revere for over 25 years, as a Demonstration Hostess & Clerk, a position she enjoyed immensely.  Interacting with many hundreds of people over the years was & always remained exciting.  Her work provided her with great comfort, especially after sustaining the death of two of her sons in 2001 & 2007.  She is the beloved wife of 49 years to former Broadway National Bank Vice President, Patsy F. Sforza.  She is the devoted Mother of David M. Sforza of Revere & his companion Deanna Fitzgerald of Saugus, & the late Joseph P. Sforza & Paul F. Sforza.  She is the Cherished daughter of Jessie (Beloski) Orsini of Revere & the late Americo “Rico” Orsini.  She is also the dear sister of Daniel A. Orsini & his wife Marian of Gibraltar, Michigan, Michael W. Orsini & his wife Sandra of Peabody, & Lisa M. Corso & her husband Robert of Middleton.  She is also lovingly survived by her two Grandchildren, Alexander P. Sforza & Kaitlyn Sforza, both of O’Fallon, Illinois, & her sister-in-law, Anna Marie Walsh & her late husband Joseph of Beverly, & many nieces & nephews.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to: St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.

    God is our babysitter, and He brought home one of his best children on Thursday. He has wrapped His arms around Elaine, and she knows that there is no more pain. There is only endless joy for all eternity. Elaine was met at Heaven’s Gate by Paul and Joseph. Bless them all, and blessings to the two of you as well.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
