Evelyn O. (Botticelli) Castaldo
A Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere on June 29th privately to celebrate the life of Evelyn O. (Botticelli) Castaldo, who died on June 23rd, 2020, in Trinity, FL, following a brief illness, she was 91 years old. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Evelyn was a lifelong Revere native. She was educated in Revere schools and was an alumna of Revere High School, Class of 1946. After high school, she worked for several years at John Hancock in Boston as a secretary. She was married to her love, Pasqualino “Pat’ Castaldo and the couple remained in Revere. She was a proud wife and mother. After she raised her children, she returned to work and became the receptionist at the East Boston Dental Office in Maverick Square in East Boston. Evelyn loved working there and she remained as the receptionist for over 25 years. In 2001, her & her husband Pat relocated to New Port Richie, Florida where they enjoyed many years together there. Evelyn was always a woman of fashion & elegance. She always was dressed for any & every occasion. She had an innate sense of detail. She was an avid painter and she created many beautiful works of art. Her passion was of course her family. She was a fabulous cook and loved hosting many dinners & holidays. She always loved a good laugh and having fun with those she loved is what was her favorite thing to do.
She is the devoted wife of 67 years to the late Pasqualino “Pat” Castaldo. Cherished & loving mother of Patricia Whitty of Revere & Steven Castaldo & wife Landra of New Port Richie, FL. Treasured grandmother of Matthew Whitty, Kristin Boccuzzi & husband William & Deborah Whitty. Adored great grandmother of Kayla, Lana & Aidan Whitty and Olivia & Sophia Boccuzi. Dear sister of the late Mary Coviello, Carmella Gnerre, and Florence Kent, all of Revere, Evelyn Castaldo of Florida and the late Alfred Botticelli, Rose DeChiara, Joseph and Salvatore Botticelli, Helen Maffeo, Antonio, Phillip and Nicholas Botticelli. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.
