Florence M. (Losco) Sarno

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, November 6th, 2012 in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, beginning at 10 a.m., for Florence M. (Losco) Sarno, who died following a long illness on Wednesday, October 31st at the Lighthouse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, at 89 years.  The funeral service will be conducted in the Funeral Home following the visitation, at 1 p.m., followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Born & raised in East Boston, Mrs. Sarno attended Boston schools & moved to Revere in 1959.  She is the wife of the late, Enrico Sarno, Sr., who died in July of 1982.  She is the devoted Mother of, Anita L. Brooks & her husband, Joseph of Hingham, Anthony Sarno & his wife, Bernadette, & Rick Sarno, Jr. & his wife, Darlene J., all of Revere.  She is the dear Sister of Sam Losco of Palm Coast, Florida.  She is also lovingly survived by 6 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren & her brother-in-law, Anthony Sarno & his wife, Karen of Lowell, & several nieces & nephews.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the: American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688.

Funeral Service

Tuesday, November 6th, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home.

Interment

Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

    We send our deepest sympathy to the family learning about the loss of your dear mother. It brings back such fond memories of the friendship my mom Rose had with your mother Florence. We remember dear both your mom and dad. Please know we will forever keep them fondly in our hearts and memories.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
