Francis D. “Frank” Cronin


Funeral Services and internment were held privately at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett for Francis D. Cronin, who died at his home in Bradford, MA, surrounded by loving family on Saturday, November 13th following a lengthy illness.


Frank was born and raised in Revere. Following graduation from Revere High school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Following his honorable discharge, Frank worked as a machinist for over 40 years. During this time he lived with his devoted wife Marilyn J Kirsch of 36 years. Frank and Marilyn enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and their beloved dog Harry. Frank was a passionate and devoted Boston sports fan.


Dear brother of Diane Accettullo of Malden, the late Sonny Haseman, Robert Haseman, Barbara J Maida and Ann Patricia Cronin. Frank was the loving father of Kelly E. Knight and husband Scott of Newburyport, MA, son Kevin P. Cronin and wife Jaye of Fort Collins, CO, and the late Colleen P. Cronin of South Boston, MA. Frank adored his niece Lori Ann Maida of Lynn, MA. Cherished grandfather of Benjamin Knight of Bradford, MA Justin and Julia Knight of Newburyport, MA, Haley and Jillian Cronin of Fort Collins, CO and the honorary grandfather of Abby Maida of Lynn, MA. Frank was a caring and loving husband, father, grampy, and uncle who will be dearly missed by many.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
