Francis X. “Frank” Pisano

Family & friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, December 17th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rt. 107) Revere for Francis X. “Frank” Pisano, who died on Thursday, November 24th at the Accent Care Hospice Center in Milton, following a long battle with Kidney Disease, he was 69 years old.  A Funeral Service will follow the visitation in the Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private.

Frank was born in Chelsea on December 19th, 1952, to his late parents, Salvatore S. & Rose M. (Albano) Pisano. He was raised and educated in Revere and was an alumnus of Revere High School, Class of 1970. He went on to further his education at Salem State College. He earned his degree in History and a Certificate in Education. He began teaching History at Revere High School for several years. He then switched careers and became a Purchasing Manager for Boston Water & Sewer Commission and later moved to MWRA where he worked for 20 years until he retired. Frank was very much into staying fit and working out. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Revere Lodge # 1272, where he played on the Softball Team, something he enjoyed a great deal. Frank also loved the beach, particularly Revere Beach. He enjoyed listening to music, and anyone who knew him, knew he was a Beatles fanatic. Above anything, Frank loved attending all of his Nephews’ Sporting Events and then making a run to McDonalds with the boys. He was a Friend of Bill W. and enjoyed helping people in any way. He was a support and solid friend to many people and asked for nothing in return. He was faced with health challenges with Kidney Disease and wanted people to help advocate for the many who are also afflicted, so that maybe there will be a cure to end the suffering.

He is the beloved son of the late Salvatore S. & Rose M. (Albano) Pisano. The loving brother of Cheryl T. Recupero & husband Genaro of Billerica, & Stephen R. Pisano & wife Ann P. of Norwood. The cherished Uncle (aka “Skuncle”) of Matthew S. Pisano & Fiancé Caroline McCarthy of New York, Michael R. Pisano & & Fiancé Taylor Poirier of Providence, RI & Nicholas M. Recupero of Billerica. Also lovingly survived by many cousins, friends, & colleagues.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Frank’s memory to The National Kidney foundation, 209 W Central St. Ste 207, Natick, MA 01760.

I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of one of my oldest friends. I’ve known Frankie since the first grade! Along with Richie Aiello, we were close buddies all through grade school and high school and then on to Salem State. We played softball together and then we all went our separate ways. It’s a shame we didn’t keep in touch. May you rest in peace. Love you pal. MM

Frankie you will be truly missed, a friend to all who knew him and one of the best buddies I had growing up,a real mentor. He had a great sense of humor, and love music, especially the Beatles. You will be truly missed Frank!

Frank and I were softball players for the Moose Lodge back in the early 70s . Although I hardly seen him since then I would occasionally think of him and those days. Frank was my best friend on that team and a tremendous guy. He will be missed. GOD BLESS HIM.

To all our families, friends, and residents of Revere, East Boston, and surrounding communities of the North Shore,

We would like to announce that after 37 years of caring for thousands of families at our 773 Broadway location, on January 31st, 2023 we will be officially RELOCATING, to our new location at 262 Beach St., Revere.
On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
Thank you for your friendship and continued support.
God bless you all.
Faithfully,
