Frederick J. “Keith” Brunelle

Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, October 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., in the Vertuccio and Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for Frederick J. “Keith” Brunelle, who died on Thursday, September 27th at his home in Amesbury, surrounded by his loving family. He was 85 years old. A Memorial Funeral Mass will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m., in Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.), Revere. Interment will be Private.

Keith was born raised in Revere. He grew up at the family home on Garfield Avenue. He was educated in Revere public schools and,  like many of Keith’s generation, he had to leave school to help support his family. The selflessness of people like Keith, had a much more profound education & appreciation than many others. Keith enlisted in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He served his country with great honor & dignity. He was honorably discharged from the Marines in 1955 as Corporal. He and his wife Jane (Sartori) Brunelle were married and remained in Revere, where they raised their family. Keith worked for over 25 years at Sears & Roebuck as a Maintenance Supervisor. He also for years worked as a “Handyman” for many of the area parishes, especially those that his late wife worked for as well. His heart was always for his family, they were paramount above anything else in life. He was a dedicated father and provider. He was a coach for his children in Revere Little league for several years during their youth. He also was a part of the Northshoremen Barbershop Chorus for about 5 years. His other passion was being with his family and watching Boston Sports. He will always be remembered as a dedicated, loving & supportive father.

He is the devoted husband for 59 years to Jane M. (Sartori) Brunelle, who passed away on December 23, 2016. Loving father of Stephen K. Brunelle & wife Ellen of Kingston, NH, Brian K. Brunelle & wife Patricia L. of Peabody, Kathleen M. Brunelle & wife Kathy DiFraia of Amesbury and Jacqueline M. DeSpirito & husband Michael of Winthrop. Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Donald Brunelle of Tequesta, FL and the late William, Eugene, Roger, Laurence, Richard Brunelle & Yvonne Flannigan. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Past member of the V.F.W. – Joseph L. Mottolo Post #4524.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
