Gerald J. Lepore
A Private funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 17th in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere, for Gerald J. Lepore who died on March 13th, 2015 at the Lighthouse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Revere following a long illness, he was 77 years old. Born & raised In Chelsea. Jerry was educated in Chelsea Public Schools & was an alumnus of Chelsea High School, Class of 1954. After high school, Gerry went to work for his family business Sheraton Shoe. He worked there for years before enlisting in the Army National Guard. He served protecting the homeland for over five years. In 1960, Jerry married his long time sweetheart, Rose M. Speranza. The couple resided in Revere, and raised his family there. He worked at Fenton Shoe for a period of time before taking a position as a mechanic at the Nabisco Company. He was a very proud & dedicated family man. He is the devoted husband of Rose M. (Speranza) Lepore of whom he shared 54 years of marriage. He is the loving father of Rosemarie DeStefano & her husband Michael of Revere & Attorney Michelle S. Kelley & her husband David. The cherished grandfather of Julia R. DeStefano all of Revere. He is the beloved brother Marion Cella of Long Island, NY & the late Nicholas Lepore. Also lovingly survived by several nieces & nephews. Entombment was in Woodlawn Versailles Mausoleum in Everett.
