Gerry Federico Giugliano

Funeral Services & Interment will be held privately due to the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic for Gerry Federico Giugliano, who died on Saturday, May 9th, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, following a long illness, he was 71 years old.

Gerry was born in Grottaminarda, Avellino, Italy and came to the United States in 1965. The family settled in East Boston and Jerry remained there all of his life. He was married for 47 years to Claudia (DiGirolamo) Giugliano. They had 5 children together and raised them in the family home on Saratoga St. Gerry worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for all of his working career. He had an innate work ethic and worked very hard to support his family. He was forced to retire early due to declining health. 

He is the devoted husband of Claudia (DiGirolamo) Giugliano of East Boston. Loving father of Freddy Giugliano, Anthony A. Giugliano, Jerry Giugliano, Joseph Giugliano & Antonetta Giugliano, all of East Boston. Cherished papa of Bryan, Mevayla, Danny, Anthony, Alissa, Joe, Joann & Joselyn. He is the beloved son of the late Andrea & Antonetta (Falcucci) Giugliano. Dear brother of Giuseppe Giugliano & his late wife Alfonsina of Boxford, Salvatore Giugliano & his wife Gilfroia “Jill” of Lynnfield & the late Dora Ragucci. He is also lovingly survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. At the family’s request, please omit flowers.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
