Gregory Badolato

Family & Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, July 12th at 10:30 a.m., in the Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) Revere, for Gregory Badolato, who died at his home in Revere surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 9th following a long illness, he was 91 years old.

Greg was born in East Boston, the family moved to Revere a short time later. He was raised & educated in Revere, then began to work in the family business, Badolato Trucking, Inc. in Chelsea, founded by his father Francesco Badolato in the early 1920’s. Greg proudly worked alongside his brothers and diligently learned the trucking business later becoming a partner. Greg remained in Revere for the past 80 years, where he began his life with his wife and together, they raised their family. His family remembers him as a dedicated, loving & extremely hard-working man who took excellent care of his family. Family was paramount for Greg and it was always his home where the celebrations & holidays were held.

He is the beloved husband of Vincella “Dolly” (DiLiegro) Badolato of Revere, they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary together. The devoted & loving father of Frank G. Badolato of Stow, John M. Badolato & wife Denise M. of Tewksbury, Denise A. Ferrara & husband Ronald, Doreen M. Gordon & husband Matthew all of Lynnfield & the late Deborah M. Badolato. He is the cherished grandfather of Christopher Badolato, Melissa Civilk & husband Peter, Kristina Carroll, Diana Badolato, Toni DiNanno, Tiffany Stec & husband Ryan, Tiana Badolato, Ronald Ferrara, Jr., Risa Ferrara, Denise Levey & husband Mitchell, Myla Gordon, Matthew Gordon & wife Sarah & Kyle Gordon & the late John M. Badolato, Jr. Dear brother of the late Dominic, Joseph, James Badolato & Theresa Schettani. He is also lovingly survived by 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
