Holly A. (Parkins) Altri

Funeral Services were held privately for Holly A. (Parkins – Hennessy) Altri, who died on Tuesday, July 23rd at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, following a brief illness, with her mother by her side, she was 47 years old.

Holly was born in Dallas, Texas and later moved to New Orleans with her parents. As a young girl, she and her family moved to East Boston, where she remained through out of her education. She attended St. Johns School in Boston and East Boston High School. As a young girl, when Holly moved to Jeffries Point in East Boston, she made friends very quickly with her southern accent, blonde hair, witty sense of humor & personality. Holly enjoyed spending time with her friends & making new ones. She was always looking to make people laugh and just having a good time and enjoying life. Holly later settled in Winthrop, where she raised her son Christopher. As a young mother she worked various jobs trying her best to be a good mother & provider for herself & her son. She later had 2 more children, Amber & Jacob, and then moved to Maine. Life became difficult for Holly, she lost her firstborn son Chris and the tragedy was devastating and unfortunately her life would never be the same. Life became a challenge for Holly and her health became debilitating. A Life that was once filled with promise & endless possibilities, became difficult and filled with obstacles that were overbearing. Holly is now at peace in Heaven with her son Chris, and her eternal life is filled with every dream & wish attained, that she did not have here on earth.

She is the beloved daughter of Victoria (Houston) Neary & husband Frederick of Dallas, TX. She is the loving mother of Amber Altri – Church & Jacob Altri – Church both of Waterville, ME & the late Christopher J. Kjersgard. She is the proud grandmother of 1 grandson. She is the dear sister of Richard Houston – Garcia & his companion Kristie of Yonkers, NY. She is also lovingly survived by her nephew Logan Garcia & she was a friend to many.


Funeral Services were Private.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
