I am truly sorry to hear of Irene’s passing. She was too young to leave us so soon.

It’s been a long time since I last spoke to Irene. I used to run into her once in a while when I was working in Boston. She was a traffic supervisor then. She always had time to stop and say hello and catch up on our lives. All of the comments certainly paint a wonderful picture of the young lady that I knew. We hung out in the same crowd when we were teenagers. Yes a long long time ago. She was a sweetheart then and it appears that she never changed. Irene was a very compassionate and supportive friend. She will be missed but I know that she will continue to make people smile and laugh where she has gone.
What a remarkable young lady. I only wish that I could be relating this story face to face with her. I guess it’s true “Only the Good die young”.

    Please accept my sincere condolences.

Bill Giles from Falcon St. in East Boston.

So sorry to hear of Irene’s passing! She was a classmate of mine at East Boston High School and did get to see her at reunions in the past. My memories of her will always be cherished and it is comforting to know that she is at peace in the presence of God.

I’m so very sorry and heartbroken to hear of Irene’s passing. It’s just not fair. She was truly the best, she had a heart of gold and cared about every single one of her co-workers. To her daughters and their families and her siblings and friends, please accept my sincere condolences. I wish there were words to say to take away your pain and heartache . She loved her family and beamed from ear to ear when talking about her grandchildren. Family was paramount in her life.
I will miss her and think of her every day. Irene, may you rest in eternal peace and watch over your loving family from above. Till we meet again.

    With Sincere Sympathy

Rizz was and will always be my FRIEND ! I will never forget my 1st day of training, It was a Saturday and it was raining and back then we did not have any uniforms! So I was soaked to the bone and let me you what it was like to trying to keep up with those little legs of hers!
From that day on I have loved her with my whole heart! We were Tagg.gers together and then she went on to be a supervisor and then on to be my Charlie! Man was she my best Charlie! But most of all she was my FRIEND and she has remained my friend since that Saturday in 1993!

Our lives will never be the same without this beautiful woman in it. My mind is flooded with memories of our childhood adventures with her- escaping in our pj’s off to the drive in “late” at night- I don’t remember one movie we saw but how special I felt!! To be included in on these trips and to be loved by her! – nighttime trips to canobie- and any moment in my life good, bad I can see her there. I will hear her voice and miss her forever. Melissa, Kenny, Micaiah, Keenan, Caleb, Christine, Rocky, Alanna, Nate and Lexi- we love you all!! I know your hearts are shattered. I wish there was a way to fix it. But we will be there for you.

To My Sweet Auntie Irene, rest in peace. The cliche of calling you “one of a kind” does not quite do you justice. You were funny, loving and so kind. Your passionate opinions on the topics of the day were legendary (at least to me). Whether it was sports, things happening in Boston or really anything that you had an opinion about became interesting because of who you were. The sparkle in your eye when you would talk about something you loved, especially your grandchildren, is something I will always remember. Finally, I will never forget your unconditional love and support. I can still hear your voice calling my name at one of many sporting events you attended over the years to support me. I will keep that sound, those memories with me in my head and heart forever. You will be missed more than you could ever know. David, Lara and Lyla

To all our families, friends, and residents of Revere, East Boston, and surrounding communities of the North Shore,

We would like to announce that after 37 years of caring for thousands of families at our 773 Broadway location, on January 31st, 2023 we will be officially RELOCATING, to our new location at 262 Beach St., Revere.
On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
Thank you for your friendship and continued support.
God bless you all.
Faithfully,

Your friends at Vertuccio Smith and Vazza.
