Jeanette T. (Scimone) Silvestro
Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Sunday, July 25th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rt. 107) REVERE for Jeanette T. (Scimone) Silvestro, who died unexpectedly in her Revere residence on Tuesday, July 20th, she was 87 years old. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, July 26th at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 670 Washington Ave., REVERE at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
Jeanette was born in Boston, raised & educated in East Boston. She was a proud alumna of Girl’s Trade School in Boston. Early on, Jeanette worked in Boston’s Garment district and was a very talented seamstress. After she was married to her husband Frank Silvestro, the couple moved to Revere. Jeanette stopped working to raise her 3 children. She was a dedicated housewife & mother & always filled her home with love and precious memories. She later returned to work for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Department of Revenue, where she worked for almost 10 years. Jeanette was a woman who always spoke her mind and gave you a truthful answer. Her personality defined who she was as a person and friend. She loved being surrounded by her family for any occasion, it was about being together, sharing & making memories.
She is the devoted & beloved wife of 60 years to the late Frank D. Silvestro, who passed on November 30, 2018. She is the loving mother of Denise Stasio & her husband David of Topsfield, Mark Silvestro & his wife Linda of Rowley & Claudia Di Mare & her husband Joseph of South Weymouth. She is the cherished & proud grandmother of Joshua Stasio & his fiancé Jessica Brown of Topsfield, Adam Stasio & his wife Guinevere of Dunbarton, NH, Revere Police Patrolman Mark V. Silvestro & his fiancé Melissa de Andrade of Revere, Christopher F. Silvestro of Seabrook, NH, Isabella Di Mare & Sophia Di Mare, both of South Weymouth. She is the adored great-grandmother of Jolene, Davianna, Rhianon & Audrey. Dear sister of Marie Oliveri of Revere & her late husband Louis and the late Emily Ursino & her husband John. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

To the family of Jeanette (gramma Jean ) I am deeply sorry for the passing of a beautiful loving soul. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her home was always open for the children to come and cool off in the pool. She was known as gramma Jean to them.May she rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus. Who she believed in and attended mass regularly. She has left many wonderful memories seen at many family gatherings and always so stylish and beautiful. Her beauty shown bright from within to all she encountered. RIP with your Lord Jean ,well done child.
