Jewel A. (Dunbar) Francis
Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, October 9th, 2013 from 3 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Jewel A. (Dunbar) Francis, who died on Friday, October 4th at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, following a long illness, at 83 years. A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, October 10th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere, at 10 a.m. For over 20 years, she spent many years living in East Boston & Fort Myers, Florida. Born & raised in Boston, she spent most of her life in East Boston before moving to Admiral’s Hill, Chelsea, about 2 years ago. She is the widow of Ralph H. Francis, who died in December of 1997. She is the mother of: Darlene R. Naso & her husband Salvatore L. Naso, Jr. of Revere, Mark S. Francis & his wife Lois of East Boston, Charlene Francis of South Boston & her late husband Robert Featherplace, & the late Ralph J. Francis & his late wife Julia R. Francis. She is the dear sister of Edward J. Dunbar & wife Doris of Oklahoma, Pauline Sabella of Tewksbury, Gloria Santaniello & Patricia Viola, both of Fort Myers, FL, & the late: June Bartolo, Murlene Marchese, & Gladys Dunbar. She is the cherished grandmother of: Keith S. Naso, Craig P. Naso, Melissa A. Francis, all of Revere, Mark Francis, Jr. & Melissa Vasczy, both of Lynn, Ralph M. Francis of Saugus, Jared Francis of South Boston, & the late Chanel Francis. She is also lovingly survived by her devoted surrogate daughter, Linda C. Hildenbrand & her husband Gary of Fort Myers, FL, her 3 great-grandchildren, Eva Ravesi, Isabella Francis, & Damien Vasczy, & several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews. Entombment will be at a later time at the Massachusetts National VA Cemetery of Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, One Bulfinch Place, Boston, MA 02114-2031, or to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, Inc., 460 Totten Pond Road, Waltham, MA 02451.

All the memories, all the stories, all the relationships ….Jewel lived such a full life. The Marchesi family was very blessed to have known her. Her Spirit will be walking with you wherever you go.

I will always remember your million dollar smile. i always felt loved when i was around you. I remember visiting you and uncle as a young boy and feeling wanted in your house.
