John M. Stasio

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Sunday, January 28th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) REVERE for John M. Stasio, who passed at his Revere home on Sunday, January 21st, shrouded in the presence of his God & his entire family, ending a lengthy illness.

An alumnus of Revere High School, he entered the U.S. Navy in February 1945 & served until May of 1946 as a Seaman 1st class. John began his working career as a sheet metal worker, with the Navy Yard in Charlestown, before settling in the Carpentry Industry. He worked for many years, with the Local 218 of the Carpenters Union as a Master Carpenter. John had a talent & a gift with wood that all his family learned to appreciate. He was a member of the American Legion Post #61 of Revere, the Revere Patriots Club & the Revere Loyal Order of the Moose #6712. Both he & his late wife, Barbara L. (Finlay) Stasio, were often the members of many of the functions, that these organizations would present.

He is the cherished father of John M. Stasio, Jr. & his wife, Lois of Springfield, Dennis W. Stasio & his wife, Mary Ann of Danville, N.H., Diane L. Kushmarek & her husband, Frank of Tewksbury, Linda M. Stasio-Reppucci & her late husband Paul of Revere, Donna B. Reardon & her companion David Capobianco of Peabody, David T. Stasio & his wife, Denise of Revere & Paul J. Stasio and his companion Andrea of Revere. John also leaves his adoring 24 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren & 1 great great granddaughter and he is also grandfather to the late Matthew Reppucci & the late Cole. He was also the dear brother of the late Rose M. Morganella & her late husband Paul A. & the late Joseph Stasio & his late wife, Marion Stasio. Also lovingly survived by Patrick Reardon & Maria Stasio, both of Revere. Interment will follow the funeral mass immediately at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
