Judith A. (Collins) Bostrom

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, June 12th, 2012 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere for Judith A. (Collins) Bostrom, who died on Friday, June 8th at the Leonard Florence Center of Chelsea, following a long & arduous struggle with cancer, at 68 years.  A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, June 13th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere at 10 a.m., followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.  Born in Boston, she was raised in East Boston & was schooled there.  She has lived in Revere for 58 years.  She was a 10-year employee for Bianco Inc. of Revere.  Daughter of the late: John F. Collins & Anne M. (Reardon) Collins.  She is the beloved sister of: John F. “Jack” Collins & his wife, Beverly, Barbara M. Orsini all of Revere, & Charles J. Collins of East Boston.  She is the Dear Aunt of: Karen Sarro & her husband, Frank, & Paul Collins & his wife, Lisa all of Wakefield, Tracey Walter of Hudson, New Hampshire, Sharon Winnett & her husband, John, & Tina Collins all of Londonderry, NH.  She is also lovingly survived by grand-nieces & grand-nephews, Christina, John, Ryan, William, Kristen, Ashley, Olivia & Nadia.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Research, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114.

Wednesday, June 13th, 2012 at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere.

Interment

Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
