Liane R. (Russo) MacDonald
Family & friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Wednesday, May 9th from 3: 00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 5:45 p.m., in the Vertuccio and Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere for Liane R. (Russo) MacDonald, who passed away on Thursday, May 3rd at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers, following a brief illness. She was 72 years old.
Liane was born & raised in Revere. She was educated at Brimmer May & Cushing Academy Schools and later attended the Mt. Ida College Secretarial Program. Liane would become the secretary for the late Former City of Revere Mayor William G. “Billy” Reinstein. Liane also worked various jobs after her tenure at City Hall. Liane was known for her warm, vibrant smile and had a wonderful and caring disposition. She had many passions, her biggest was being a mom and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and she loved her City of Revere. She would often be seen walking throughout the city. She enjoyed wintering in Long Boat Key, Florida, which she did for over 25 years.
She is the devoted companion of 27 years to Eugene E. Zollo of Revere. Loving mother of Lani C. Miraglia of Stoneham, Revere Firefighter Samuel A. MacDonald of Revere & the late Michael MacDonald. She is the adored grandmother of Kayla M. Richards of Marblehead & Milly MacDonald of Revere and the cherished great grandmother of Sawyer. Dear cousin of David Coscia of Los Angeles, California & Steven Coscia of Winthrop. She is also lovingly survived by many extended family & friends. Interment will be Private.

We are so saddened of Liane’s passing and send our deepest condolences. Liane was a vibrant and outgoing person. We will cherish our over 25 years of her friendship and fondly remember the many good times that we shared, especially in LBK.
