Linda A. Blake

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) Revere on Monday, January 23rd from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., for Linda Amy Blake, age 68, of Scottown OH, formerly of Revere, who passed away on January 18th, peacefully at Hospice House of Huntington with her family by her side. A Funeral Service will be conducted in the Funeral Home at 7:15 p.m. Interment will be Private.

Linda was born on 09/30/1954 at Kenmore Hospital in Boston MA to Evelyn M (Funk) Szathmary and Alfred R Blake.  Linda was blessed with three children:  Fredrick (Ritchie) Landers and his wife Tara, Sherry (Ritchie) Rose and her husband Wayne, Christina (Blake) Wall and her husband Ryan. We cannot forget that she is also survived by her beloved cat Bud Bud.  Linda was a cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren Nicole, Tiffany, Nina, Joey, Bobby, Justin, Billy, Colt, Nick, Elizabeth, and Genevieve and 12 great grandchildren.  She was an aunt to countless nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Evelyn, Phyllis and Nancy.  She had 1 brother and 2 other sisters formerly deceased; Alfred, Jackie and Roberta.  Linda was a homemaker and was always willing to give everything she had to anyone in need.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
