Lorraine A. (Aideuis) Marks

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, August 1st, 2014 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107), Revere, for Lorraine A. (Aideuis) Marks, who died following a brief illness on Saturday, July 26th at her daughter’s Lynnfield home, at 73 years.  The funeral service will be held in the funeral home following the visitation, at 11 a.m.  Mrs. Marks was born in Cambridge & lived there until coming to Revere over 50 years ago.  She married Donald L. Marks, & he passed on March 23rd, 2014.  She is the devoted mother of: Brenda J. Kelly & her husband John T. “Jake,” Donald L. Marks, Jr. & his wife Maria, all of Lynnfield, & the late William C. Marks.  She is the cherished grandmother of: Matthew R. & Lauren E. Kelly, & Austin H. & Olivia M. Marks, all of Lynnfield, & the late Hunter J. Marks.  She is the dear sister to Marion Maldonaldo of Malden, Janet Palen & her husband David of Medford, Richard Aideuis & his wife Theresa of Cambridge, & Leonard Aideuis of Newton, & the late John Aideuis.  She is also lovingly survived by her sister-in-law, Dorothy L. Waters & her husband John of Ipswich.  Interment will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the: Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215, Attn: Development Office.

Will be private.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
