Lorraine B. (LeMay) Barresi

A funeral service was held on Monday, March 4th, 2013 for Lorraine B. (LeMay) Barresi, who died on Thursday, February 28th at her Revere home, following a long illness, at 89 years.  The service was held at graveside at Riverview Cemetery, Groveland, MA.  Lorraine B. (LeMay) Barresi was born in Chelsea, MA on October 4th, 1923 & lived there until moving to Revere in 1957.  For over 30 years, she was a Chef within the Revere School System, most particularly at the Paul Revere School.  She was the widow of Salvatore Baressi, who died in 1986.  She is the Devoted Mother of: Francis R. Barresi & his wife, Janet of Wappingers Falls, NY, Evelyn B. Kostenko & her husband, Alex of Hopewell Junction, NY, Paul L. Barresi of Revere, Patricia A. Giannelli of Georgetown, MA, & Thomas J. Barresi & his wife, Mary of Reno, Nevada.  She is the Cherished Grandmother of Robert Barresi, Michelle Barresi, Michael Barresi & his wife, Michele all of NY, Susan Kostenko of Jacksonville, FL, John Salvatore Giannelli of Peabody, Tammy Kaminski of Fort Myers, FL, & the late Natalie Kostenko.  She is the Dear Great-Grandmother of Jacuelyn, Kailyn, Kolson, Matthew, Tyler & Hannah.  She is the loving Sister of the late, Althea Matarazzo, James, Ernest & Robert LeMay.  She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.  Remembrances may be made to the: Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
