Louise M. (Maglione) DeRosa

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, Feb.11th from 4 to 8 pm, in the Vertuccio and Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) Revere, For Louise M. (Maglione) DeRosa, at 99 years, died on Saturday, February 8th at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center after a long illness,  A funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 12th at 10 am, followed  by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church (Revere) at 11 a.m..  Louise was born and raised in Revere, she attended Revere schools. She had worked at several jobs before marrying her Husband Anthony C.  DeRosa, in 1936, at  St. Anthony of Padua Church. Louise remained in Revere where she and her husband would begin their life together and start their family. Louise very proudly took her role as mother & wife, dedicating time for her children, as well as maintaining her close relationship with all of her younger siblings, who she helped raise & care for. She loved her family immensely and spending time with them was what she enjoyed most in life. She is the wife of the late: Anthony C. DeRosa of whom she shared 56 years of marriage, she is the devoted mother of : Joan C. Raimo & her husband Michael A. of Salem, NH, Louise A.  DeRosa of Revere and The late Philip A. DeRosa & his wife Margaret DeRosa of Salem, NH.  She is the cherished grandmother of: Mary Baker & her husband Scott of Sandown, NH, Philip A. DeRosa, Jr. & his wife Catherine of Hudson, NH,  Christine L. DeRosa of Methuen and Margaret E. “Meg” Mello & her husband Anthony of Salem, NH.  She is the adored great grandmother of: Brody Wall, Elizabeth DeRosa, Anthony DeRosa, Antony Mello & Philip Mello. She is the beloved sister of: Antonio P. Maglione, Jr. of Revere and the Late: Mary Clark, Carmella Santasuasso, Celia D’Agnese, Peter, Michael, Rocco, George & Carmine J. Maglione. Also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  In lieu of flowers: remembrances may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.Box 1000, Dept.142, Memphis,TN 38101-9908

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
