Louise R. (Fontana) DiNitto

Services & interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett were held privately this past week for Louise R. “Auntie Ge”(Fontana) DiNitto, who died Sunday, Oct. 18th, following a long illness at Life Care Center of Billerica.

Born in Boston, she was a resident of Revere since 1961. As a young woman, she worked in Boston’s Garment District as a stitcher for several manufacturing houses. Three years ago, when her health began to fade, she made her home with her niece, Yvonne Spagnoli, in Billerica. “Auntie Ge” loved many things, but cherished the moments she had with Yvonne, her daughter Marissa & her husband John Spagnoli. Her wit, marvelous humor & laughter will be truly missed.

She was the beloved wife of the late Mario DiNitto, who passed in March of 2003. She was the dear sister to Josephine Grenga & her late husband Carlo of Revere & the late Anita Ceci, & Cosmo DiNitto & his late wife Elizabeth. Besides Yvonne Spagnoli & her husband, John & their daughter Marissa, with whom she made her home, she leaves several other nieces & nephews. She is also survived by two sons, Cosmo G. DiNitto & his wife, Katherine of Lynn & Walter R. DiNitto & his wife, Lynn of Danvers and several grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
