Lucille A. (Cardello) D’Agostino

Family & friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, May 11th in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St. Revere at 11:00 a.m. for Lucille A. (Cardello) D’Agostino, who died at her home in Revere following a brief illness, she was 83 years. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Lucille was born in Cambridge to her late parents, Samuel & Sarah (DiGregorio) Cardello. She was one of three children. She was raised & educated in Everett and was an alumni of Everett High School, Class of 1957. Lucille was a loving and devoted mother of her three children. She raised her children as a single mother and did it with love, determination, and care. Lucille worked at the City Bank in Boston for approximately 10 years. She later took a position in the Marketing Department for New England Life Insurance Company. Her career spanned 22 years, until she retired from there. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling extensively, especially throughout the Caribbean. She particulary loved Antigua and Turk & Caicos.  Lucille was also known for her cooking. Her delicious homemade pasta and eggplant parmesan was legendary, and she taught anyone who wanted to learn how to make it. Her family was her heart & soul. She enjoyed spending her time with her 3 children, 3 grandchildren and her great granddaughter. Lucille was blessed to have had the enjoyment of her best friend, Prudence Reid for many years. The two of them traveled extensively and had fun along the way. She will be forever missed by everyone who loved her. 

She is the loving & devoted mother of Debora J. Harris & husband Kevin A. of Raymond, NH, Mark A. D’Agostino & wife Lisa M. of Salisbury & Michelle M. D’Agostino & partner Jack O’Keefe of Amesbury. Cherished grandmother of Christina M. Castro Neves & husband Thiago of Derry, NH, Cameron M. D’Agostino & wife Lauren of Riverhead, NY & Zachary S. D’Agostino & girlfriend Lindsey Woodhull of Salisbury. Adored great grandmother of Valentina Claudia. Treasured life long best friend & travel companion of Prudence Reid of Revere. Dear sister of Louis W. Cardello & wife Diane of Salem, NH & Paul J. Cardello & wife Linda of Wilmington. She is also lovingly survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.

    Dear Cardello Family:
    Our heart goes out to you with the passing of Lucille as a beloved sister, in law and friend. I remember her at the home on Ferry Street in Everett. Those were the days of fun and laughter as we shared Sunday meals with Sam & Sally.
    Lucille was always positive and smiling person even in the midst of difficult times. She loved her children and supported the family well.
    We will be with you in spirit at the church and cemetery.

Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
