    Dear Laura,

I was so sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. Although I never met her I know that it takes a special person to be a good mother but an exceptionally special person to be a mother of a great child as I know you to be. There is a poem I really like called “The Dash.” You may be familiar with it but, if not, read it when you have a chance. When you think of your mother know that she lived her life with kindness, compassion, and, especially, with love and that these characteristics are just some of the ways she spent her dash.

My sincere condolences to you and Olivia as well as the rest of your
family. I hope they with provide you with the support that you’ll need throughout this difficult time in your life.I

    With sympathy,
    Donna Holohan
