Maria was born & raised in St. Michael, Azores. She came to the United States in 1957 with her family and settled in East Cambridge. As her family became larger, Maria stayed home to raise her children. She later returned to the workforce and became a Laboratory Assistant at Harvard University, before she retired. Loving & caring for her family is where Maria’s heart was most filled with joy. She was the epitome of what a “Mother” & “Nana” is. Maria will be missed & remembered and will always be loved.
