Marion Y. Zolla

A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, March 14th, 2020 in Immaculate Conception Church for Marion Y. Zolla, who passed after a brief illness on Tuesday, March 10th. Interment followed in the Zolla Estate Lot at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Born & raised in the former “Mr. Jack Gardner Summer Residence” on Prospect Ave., REVERE, Marion resided there until moving to the Cohen-Florence-Levine Estates, Chelsea over 16 years ago in 2004. There she received extraordinary care & attention, physically & emotionally. The care at Chelsea extended to all her attending family, relatives & friends who visited. Marion’s family is deeply grateful to the administration & entire staff at Chelsea & especially to her PC—Roger C. Pasinski, M.D. for his long-time care of Marion. She was a 1931 alumna of Revere High School. When her Mother passed, Marion became, her seven (7) siblings, surrogate Morn, and maintained the family home at 33 Prospect Ave., she cooked mentored & was their go-to person for almost all else. As she became older, she had a fun interest in bingo & the game of Polka. The Good Lord, rewarded her with a “technicolor day” for her interment, so deserving for a Special Angel of God.

She is the cherished Sister to William R. Zolla of Danvers & the late, Estelle A. Abbene & her late husband, William, Louise DeStefano & her late husband, Joseph, Evelyn Corea & her late husband Frank, James A. Zolla, Jr. & the late Frank E. Zolla, the Reverend Brother Richard P. Zolla. She is the adored Aunt to Leslie Zolla of Stoneham, Maris L. Abbene of Medfield, Ronald W. Zolla & his wife, Kathleen “Lee” of Portsmouth, N.H., & Toni Sicari & her husband, Sebastian of Ponte Verde, Fla. Also lovingly survived by 1 Grand-Niece, 6 Grand-Nephews, One (1) Great-Grand Niece, three (3) Great-Grand-Nephews & many faithful Cousins. She was also the dear daughter of the late, James A. Zolla, Sr. & Louise (Sessa) Zolla.

Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
