Mary (Rendi) Buonadonna
Family & friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, August 8th beginning at 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Route 107) REVERE for Mary (Rendi) Buonadonna, who passed on Sunday August 5th at the Oosterman Rest Home of Wakefield, following a lengthy & debilitating illness. Her funeral Mass will follow the visitation on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., REVERE, and immediately followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Born in Boston, she spent her early years in East Boston, before moving to Revere when she was 13 years old. She attended Boston schools and was an alumna of Girl’s Boston Trade School, Class of 1946. She was a seamstress by trade and had a long career with the former Picarello & Singer Ladies’ Apparel Wear Inc. of East Boston. Mary led a most busy life, caring for her husband, three children, and anyone else who was in need of care. A simple woman of Grace & God, she was more than content with the joy of being a mother and a grandmother. She was a long-time devotee of St. Anthony’s Parish of Revere and was a member of the former Ladies’ Sodality & the Anthonian Club. She enjoyed the art of cooking, especially for close family & extended family. Her beloved husband, Domenic passed on January 29, 1996.
She is the cherished mother to, Louis J. Buonadonna & his wife Maryanne C. of Amherst, N.H., Teresa M. “Terry” Cherbitsky & Lynda A. Capoccia & her husband, Robert F., all of Revere. She is the adoring grandmother to Tara M. Buonadonna-Schoen & her husband, Steven of Westborough, MA, Ryan J. Buonadonna & his wife, Rebecca of Rutland, Vermont, Kathryn A. Buonadonna-Barry & her husband, Jon of Warner, N.H., & Zachary D. Capoccia of Revere. Dear sister of the late, Rose “Chickie” Zajaczkowski, Ubaldo Rendi & Teresa Rendi. She is also lovingly survived by her 3 (three) great-grandchildren, Sophia Grace Buonadonna, Mila Schoen and Maxwell Schoen & many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews.
Our greatest sympathy to all the Buonadonnas during this time.
Lou- unfortunately I am unable to attend this Wednesday but I know Sharon will and I hope Emily. I hope we can get together later this summer and raise a toast to your mom- a terrific family she started.
