Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Thursday, January 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rte. 107) REVERE, for Melania (Depicolzuane) Pacchielat, who passed on Sunday, January 19th at Lighthouse Nursing Care Center of Revere, following a brief illness. Her funeral mass will follow the visitation at the Immaculate Conception Church (Corner of Beach St. & Winthrop Ave.) REVERE at 11:30 a.m., and immediately followed with entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery – Community Mausoleum (Sheffield Building), Everett.
Mrs. Pacchielat was born & raised in Italy in a region now known a Croatia & came to this country along with her family in December of 1956. Mrs. Pacchielat, along with her late husband, Silvano, who died on August 27, 2014, were the quintessence of devoted & loving parents. Both worked solely for the joy & welfare of their children. Mrs. P. worked as a young woman in the garment industry in East Boston. Later, she would work for Stop & Shop as a clerk & food tester for over 18 years. Mr. & Mrs. Pacchielat were the proud producers of prize-winning vegetables, herbs & flowers in their garden on Payson St. Active until recently, she could still be seen working in her garden last summer. She was also a proud & active member of the Rossetti Seniors, sharing her energy & engaging personality with all the other members.
She is the cherished mother of Stefano J. Pacchielat of Lynn, Antonio Pacchielat & his wife, Claire of Easton & Daniel J. Pacchielat of Revere. She is the devoted sister of Luciano Depicolzuane & his wife, Virginia of Seattle, Washington, Mirella Cirmia & her husband, Rosario of Revere, Ornella Vittoria & her husband, Salvatore of Everett & Nancy Vitagliano of Winthrop. She is also lovingly survived by many faithful nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews, both within the Depicolzuane & Pacchielat families, in the U.S.A., Italy & Croatia.
I fondly remember spending much time with “Melania” during my tenure at the Rossetti-CowanSenior Center. She was a beautiful person who always possessed a bright smile and fun spirit. God Bless Melania. Prayers for her and her family – three sons whom she always talked about hour with love.
