Mildred C. (Capobianco) Ferrari

Family & friends are invited to attend a visitation in the Vertuccio & Smith, Home for Funerals , 773 Broadway (Rte. 107), REVERE on Tuesday, February 28th from 11:00 a.m. thru 12:15 p.m. for Mildred C. (Capobianco) Ferrari, who passed on Wednesday, February 22nd, following a lengthy illness at the Parkland Medical Center of Derry, N.H. Her funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home, following the visitation at 12:30 p.m., immediately followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Mildred was born, raised & educated in East Boston and was a 1946 alumna of East Boston High School. She married in 1948 to Albert Ferrari, who passed on March 12, 1988. She spent the majority of her life as caretaker to several family members including her late parents, Antonio & Angelina (DeAngelis) Capobianco.

She is the cherished mother of Brian P. Ferrari & his wife Isabel C. of Derry, N.H. She is the dear sister to Ralph Capobianco of East Boston & the late Fred, John, Rocco & Anthony Capobianco, Anna Lauria & Evelyn Durante. She is also lovingly survived by two (2) sisters-in-law, Rosemary Capobianco of Rowley, Ma. & Karen Capobianco of New Britain, Ct., many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews. Until 2015, Mildred lived her entire life at her family home on Chelsea St., East Boston, until failing health necessitated moving to Derry, N.H. with her son, Brian & his wife Isabel.

On September 30th, 2022, we proudly purchased the Vazza “Beechwood” Funeral Home – DiPietro and Vazza, Inc. A name that has served families for 102 years. We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
