Mildred E. (Carrozza) Rodriguez

Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, August 28th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:oo p.m. in the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway(Rte 107) Revere, for Mildred E. (Carrozza) Rodriguez, who passed on Wednesday, August 26th following a Rodriquez, Mildredvaliant struggle with pancreatic cancer, at her Revere residence. Her funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, August 29th, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St.,Revere at 11 :00 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Sheffield Bldg. of the Woodlawn Cemetery Community Mausoleum, Everett.

Born & raised in E. Boston she attended East Boston Schools & was a 1939 alumna of East Boston High School. “Millie” as she was affectionately known as, worked in the garment industry for a great part of her working career. There, she met her husband to be, Diego Rodriguez, a handsome young Cuban immigrant, who captured her heart. They were married in January of 1962 & spent 51 years, together until his untimely death, on March 31st (Easter Sunday), 2013. The couple left East Boston in 2003 & moved to the St. George Condominiums on Revere Beach Blvd.

She is survived by her beloved sister, Frances D. DiPlacidio & her husband,John of Royal Palms, FI., formerly of Peabody. She was also the sister of the late D. “Mico”, John “Panco”, Enrico “Eastago”, Elio “Leo”, Nicholas J. “Nicki”, Ralph Sr., & David Carrozza & also the late: Lesandrina “Sandra” Russo, Lena Incerto & Bridget Pisano. She is also lovingly survivedby her sister-in-law, Rose Carozza of Wilmington, many nieces,nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews. She was also the daughter of the late, David Carrozza &
Frances (Vertuccio) Carrozza.

Funeral Mass

Saturday, August 29th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere

Entombment

Woodlawn Cemetery Community Mausoleum, Sheffield Building, Everett

We feel blessed that with all of the interest, the Vazza Family chose us to carry on their century old business and family name. We will become Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals. We will continue to honor the Vazza name and continue our commitment the same way that we always have. We also look forward to having both Louis Vazza and Jessica Vazza Ferragamo alongside of us, as we come together as one.
Our reputation has always been our biggest asset. For many years people always wanted us to have a larger facility, now our facility is the largest funeral home in the area. We will be making many beautiful upgrades to allow our families to have the most elegant facility to honor their loved one.
Although this announcement is bittersweet, as we say goodbye to our home, we are forever grateful for all of you for placing your constant faith and trust in us to care for your loved one. We will continue to do what we are best known for.
